Just remember you only get one chance to do Edit Town (unless we get new lots).  So while I said as you need.  That as you need means as you need to make the game playable.

Of course. :) I meant it in the sense of "oh good, so if I need this lot size I can just replace this lot over here with the kind I need" rather than "I suddenly find myself in need of this lot I didn't need before, I guess I'll just add it now." Looking it over again though I do realize what it could be read as lol. (Please forgive me, I'm living in a foreign country and newly married to a man who doesn't speak English well, so my native tongue may be slipping away from me. :-\)

Here are the pictures of Riverview that I have mentioned before.

Over by the Brokes - we have The Grind, junkyard & Watering Hole Saloon from AP.

Fire Station in the top left corner.   The Juice bar remade into a hangout.  The two long parks into a cat park and dog park.  The Gazebo is now a big park.

Vampire Lounge from Moonlight Falls across from the Academy.  The Salon from AP up by the Joys and the smaller equestrian center was placed on a new lot that I made over an existing one.

Nectary over by large fishery and the Zoomsweeper broom park is placed behind the house on the hill.

And the dynasty lot taken by the horse ranch since you can't buy it anyway.

It mentions on the list of careers and their rewards that the DNA branch of Law Enforcement can have a painting certificate as a reward. I know that there is a particular level in the career you need to reach to need the painting skill as a career requirement but could I could the painting certificate before I reach that level?

Just out of luck.   The possibility of snow days and festival days is something that players need to account for when setting their season length or even what seasons they plan on playing with.   There was a warning posted in the Townie DecaDynasty but not this one and I think that's where you saw it.

Ah well, fourth time lucky,  maybe, and time to try another town.

You can add the Nectary to home towns?

In my opinion, I am sure that you could work on the painting skill at any time, but until you reach level 5 of the law enforcement career and choose to go up the DNA branch, the painting skill is not a requirement yet and so would not count as a career reward. Only after painting becomes a requirement of the career would the skill certificate count as a career reward.

Jaymi is right.  You would have to actually be a part of that career to be able to use the reward.  Also - remember that hitting the top of the career is a 5000 LTHP wish so why wouldn't you want to do it anyway?

Would I have used them if they weren't allowed?  I wrote the FAQ on Edit Town.   The only stipulation we've ever used in any of the dynasties was that you could only use EA-created lots.

The Nectary register has always been allowed through purchasing it as a lot owner and the academy only counts as a place to practice.  The tournament still has to be completed in China.

I think many of us, myself included, looked at the fact that the 2012 Tournament General Rules states "World Adventure specific lots cannot be added to your town" and that the rules of this challenge say any "standard EA designed buildings are missing from your town", which I personally don't consider these to be since they are WA specific, and concluded that they could not be used in the dynasties. But I am guessing that since the dynasties are not an actual part of the tournament that this doesn't apply?

The dynasties have never been a part of the tournament and they have their own rules which have never said "tournament rules also apply.

Is anyone else having trouble with the festival lots? I haven't tried a new game, I've just been playing my Lifestate Dynasty file. It's almost the end of the Fall season, and neither the summer nor the fall festivals have actually worked - no apple bobbing, haunting house or anything else. Is this a glitch, or only because I'm playing an old file?

Of course I don't think you're breaking rules. I just never ever considered adding those lots and now I'm disappointed because I missed my chance. :(

I could not tell you. I just started a new game in Twinbrook since I installed Seasons and the festival lot works fine.

I also was unaware that we could use WA lots. But what do you mean by "purchasing it as a lot owner"?

And thank a bunch for the screenshots. ;D

Some people were having trouble with the festivals starting and had to replace them a time or two before they would actually appear in their game.  You have permission to use Edit Town to delete the festival lot (& only festival lot) once and place it again.

When you purchase real estate in the game, you have access to everything in the community objects section.  It only appears when editing a community lot.  In that section, there are registers, rabbit holes, picnic tables that will spawn the baskets, grills and a bunch of other things.
