It's only males and it's only a 33% chance according to someone who has read the code and I trust that person to know what they're looking at.

My game crashed after my heir aged up. I had randomised the trait which wasn't half bad. When I replay the birthday, can i choose that trait or will I have to randomize again?

I never thought of making basement non accessible! How would that wrk for nectar making though...?

As long as the Nectar Maker is accessible, you should be fine. The Nectar can be dragged from inventory to shelf, so the Sim never needs to physically interact with it.

Also nectar can be made above ground and stored below ground.  Nothing says the maker has to be in a basement just that it will increase in value if it's stored in a basement .

Randomize it again.

Randomize it again.
Thanks. Let's hope for a trait that is for a skill.

I noticed something strange in my game yesterday. I was working on finishing my second gen's heir (Tomjon) requirements before I can try for the next heir, so all my attention was on him. Now and then I would take a peek at what Twilah (my founder) is doing, just so that she doesn't start learning a new skill. I was concentrating on Tomjon again when up popped a message saying that Twilah had reach level 2 in fishing!! I thought, what the heck, and immediately selected her and panned to see what she was doing. She was halfway through a strength workout!! No where NEAR a fishing spot. She also learned gardening like this.  :o Both those skills I'm holding off for another heir! Can anyone help explain this to me? Will it invalidate using those skills at a later date?

Does she have a multitab? Sometimes Sims autonomously listen to tab casts.

Fourth Gen Diamond's father died today. While the family mourns his loss, Diamond decided she wanted to resurrect him and so popped up the 10,000 point wish to use Ambrosia to bring him back. I know that you are allowed to resurrect a ghost if you are using them as a spouse, but since he is/was the spouse of Third Gen Emerald, is this still allowed?

No, it was in Tomjon's inventory!

Thus they can autonomously listen to it.

Only if the MultiTab is in that sims inventory, they can't listen to any tabcasts if the MultiTab is in another Sims inventory which is what I think Tahilanor's problem.

Yes, that's exactly it. I'm aware of the podcast's ability to level new skills, which is why I put it in Tomjon's inventory. But if it's glitched somehow, and Twilah can still use it, I think I'll rather sell it.

Tomjon is the heir, as Tahilanor says it, who had the multitab. The founder Twilah gained a skill point in something without her doing an activity related to that skill.
I have heard this happening before, I think. It looks just like the problem of several sims in the household getting the same collecting skill items, while only 1 person is actually getting them. If I remember correctly I think Rica ruled that these kind of glitches do not count and do not stand in the way of HOF. You do have to keep very good notes about which sim really has what skill or collected items.
Of course, you shouldn't take my word for it, since I am not 100% sure. Better wait for Rica ;)
Problem? Don't panic! There is always a solution. You just have to find it  :D

I have been away for a few weeks, and a lot has changed since then.  So forgive me for bringing up old stuff.  I am confused about which community lots I can place in edit town at the beginning of the file.  I have read the FAQ post, and it still confuses me.  Here's what I want to do, please let me know if it's allowed.

I want to place the EA created Greenhouse, Casino, and Film Studio into Moonlight Falls.  Am I allowed to do this?  I have not looked into the lot sizes or anything yet, as I would like to get word from you guys first.

As long as they don't max the skill you don't have a problem.  Also be careful there wasn't a tv on around her on either of those channels.  If they max it, then you can't use those skills' skill certificate for career rewards.   If she keeps learning things, make sure all of your mods are gone.  Reset her and get rid of all the MultiTabs and buy another one if it becomes safe.

I think that only counts with one of the collecting skill challenges which is the mushroom one.   Maxing a skill is only a problem if you plan on using the certificates later.

If you want you can PM me with all things that confuse you and I have no problem talking with you until you understand them fully.   You are allowed to place EA created lots so all of the ones you've mentioned are allowable.   Just remember that there are 9 lots in Moonlight Falls that can't have anything placed on them because they are not empty lots.  Is that where you were confused?   There is a list of the addresses where this is a problem on this post
