At level 10 of the criminal career, you won't experience any more of the bugs.  I've had an Emperor of Evil for almost 8 generations in my immortal dynasty and he goes to work on time with no issues whatsoever.  There were issues around level 8 and 9 but once I hit 10, none of them ever happened again.  One way to take care of the glitch is also to ask for a day off.  You'd be surprised how easy it is to do just that and have everything fix itself.   For the criminal career, I almost feel it's imperative to get the vacationer LTR just to cover the times when you're stuck in jail or just having issues.

Eisande, the career objects you use must be unique to each heir. If your founder maxes Logic, then no heir can use that skill certificate as a career related object.

Thanks for the answer. For a moment I was a bit concerned that that would cut me off from the Doctor career but after some research I see there are other awards available for them.

EDIT: Another question. I saw that SimFest trophies and Self-Employment career rewards were mentioned but what about the others? You can earn other trophies in different ways. So if you earned the Epic Hero medal as a firefighter, could you NOT claim that as a career reward for Ghost Hunter? If that's the case if you do earn that in the course of your job duties?

The Hero Medal and so on for the different professions can count as long as they are for different professions. You can't use two Fire fighter medals, but you can use a fire fighter and a ghost hunter one.

My Bottomless Nectar Cellar Sim just got a wish to make a nectar with §250 and it was worth 15,000 LTHP with the LTW.  I don't know what it would be without it though.

I just read in the Q & A that if you use the same founder for another attempt, everything has to be the same. I used the same founder but changed her traits, lifetime wish and life state. Does this mean I've failed?

I'll let it slide since Metro's official ruling was on Oct 24th.  Anything past this point has to be the same however.

But changing everything except looks actually is a different founder, don't you think? Since looks absolutely doesn't change a thing about the gameplay and the chances for your sim. Only traits, lifetime wish and life state do that. Either way, this would be ok in my opinion, even after the 24th of Oct.

If someone makes the decision to go with the same Founder again due to a failure, or they simply want to stop and restart and try a different tactic, fine, but I want it clear that the exact same starting conditions need to be established. If someone is going with the same Founder again to me they are making a 2nd attempt. If they roll with a brand new Founder then it's a clean slate and everything would be randomized again. Yeah I know, I'm weird...that's just how I look at it.

It is for sure a different way to look at things, and I think it makes it all the more interesting.

Does it make sense to say that you need to either:
A: Use the EXACT SAME Founder with no changes to traits, LTW, etc.
OR
B: Use a COMPLETELY NEW Founder with a fresh dice roll for traits, pick a new LTW, etc.
That clears up any confusion, I think.

...But A is not true. According to Metro, starting over; even if it's with the exact same founder your first attempt was with, it's still an entirely new attempt and therefore the traits must be re-randomised.

A is exactly true.   Read everything again.

Metro says if you want to use the same founder nothing is allowed to change.  NOTHING is allowed to be re-randomized.   You can't add a freckle to this person.

If you want a different LTW or traits, you have to start with an entirely new person.
