Is it even possible to become best friends with a vehicle that isn't part of the household. For some reason I thought that vehicle/Sim relationship went up the more the Sim drove the car or motorbike or whatever.

Technically a car isn't any more a part of your household than an IF is before it turns real.  However, I don't consider a car to be a Sim that would qualify.  Being a car isn't exactly a life state that one can choose to be like the others.

Agreed. A car is not a life state option so it can't work here as opposed to the Immortal Dynasty where the requirement is simply a BF with no other qualifier.

Sorry if this was already asked before, but... is the "Summon Ghost" interaction from the Philosopher's Stone banned? I'm guessing it is, but still, I wanted to check :).

I'm going to start this now and want to plan a little bit.

You can use the Philosopher's Stone to "Bind/Summon" a ghost to your household as long as that ghost is going to be a spouse.

Is there a known way to fix the invisible Sim bug? If not, permission to go back to my previous save, please?

No fix that I'm aware of.  Go ahead back to your previous save.

I had the invisible Sim go to the dresser and change clothes, and that worked for him. If he bugs out again I'll go back to save 16, which was the first one before I had the error. So, for anyone else that gets the invisible sim bug, I'll report back on whether he stays visible now.

Edit: I narrowed it down and it's either linked to the Wish Enhancing Serum, the Lifetime Wish (curing 12 sims for witches) or the Age Freeze potion he used. His LTW has disappeared in the sim bar, but he still has the points for it, so it's a viable fix.

I restarted partially because of the Invisible Sim Bug and Rabbit (Founder) was the one affected. She's not used the Serum, had that LTW or used an Age Freeze. It happened when I opened the game up the next day after the Patch so that is what I think caused it for me.

I'm glad I did restart though. I'm basically waiting on two more 5k Wishes, 3 LTHR and a tiberium to get bigger to sell for the Consignment Challenge. All this and Rabbit has only just hit Adult. (Compared to where I was last time at her Adult Birthday this is a big leap forward!)

I know that skill journal challenges are fair game, but what about the adventure journal? There are three challenges in there - can they count as well?

No, for the purposes of the heir requirements those are different animals entirely.

Maybe I am overlooking something, but the only use for the spouse in this challenge is making babies and maybe earning some money, right?

So that's actually just like in real life :P lol
Problem? Don't panic! There is always a solution. You just have to find it  :D

You have it right.  The spouse is to help insure that the next heir is a different life state and maybe do things around the house so none of the previous heirs accidentally max a skill they aren't supposed to.
