So my vampire heir has managed to max all 5 instrument skills (guitar, piano, drums, bass and laser-con) and the logic skills and didn't get any of the max <skillname> skill wishes.

Can future generations max these skills and if they get offered the skill wishes, take the wishes as one of their qualifying 5k + wishes, or are they off the table in this regard?

He didn't make the wish so you should be fine as long as the skill certificate hasn't been and won't used as a career reward. Also, has he completed any of the instrument skill challenges?

He has completed Master Guitarist and Master Pianist skill challenges. He has also completed Master Chemist, Skill Professor and Teacher Extraordinaire.
He's got one of his LTRs - bookshop bargainer. He is working in the Ghost Hunter Career.
As was the case with the 'Reach Maximum level in <Skill>' wishes, he didn't get offered the 'Learn all Chemistry potions' wish either.
He has been romancing his future spouse, she has moved in and she is having a bachelorette party, but he hasn't been offered the wish to marry her. However, his traits are Brave, Neurotic, Unstable, Flirty and Loner - so maybe Loner and Flirty are impacting on his ability to wish to marry the mother of Gen 3? At least he doesn't have 'can't stand children' or 'commitment issues' traits. :)

My flirty sim never got the wish to marry either. In fact, instead of the social interaction "enthuse about wedding", she had "complain about wedding." You only get "Learn all Chemistry Potions" offered at level 10 logic, so if you learn them all somehow before level 10, the wish never pops.

Sometimes the wish to marry just doesn't pop up. None of my heirs beyond Gen 2 ever wished to marry until their first kid(s) was born and even then, it was just the 'Get Married' wish.

I had a whole dynasty of heirs who never ever got the wish to get married. But they managed to get different wishes anyways.

Is it possible to get kelp in any world besides Isla Paradiso?

Not in a way legal for this dynasty.

I meant mermadic kelp.  I didn't think so, I tried doing all sorts of things with a mermaid and never got the conversation option.  Then I read it was an underwater option, so oh well.  I love this dynasty, I am doing it for a third time.  I love that it is always different and it's so fast paced.  You don't have to do a whole lot of waiting around.

I skimmed the 116 pages of this post and didn't see this question, but I apologize if it's already there and I just missed it.
My founder married, and her spouse died while she was still working on her requirements (he was an elder werewolf, so I thought he'd live longer than he did).  She remarried.  I assume this is acceptable?
Additional question which that made me wonder about:  if they had already had their first child, but the spouse died before becoming BF's with the heir, could she remarry and have BF status with a stepfather count?

Sorry, but it's not. You're allowed to resurrect in this challenge, so if your first spouse dies, bring them back.

I'd only make an exception if the sim in question was irreversibly unresurrectable or otherwise glitched and other options were exhausted.

Okay, but her remarriage while still completing her requirements is acceptable, or does she need to divorce and bring back the original hubby?

EDIT:  Adding this in for clarity, my heir popped the wish to resurrect spouse immediately as he was dying.  As soon as I clicked on that wish, it popped up "Throw a Bachelorette Party."  Weird.  Anyway, as soon as Grim disappeared, the wish to resurrect spouse also disappeared.  The second spouse has also passed away and the exact same thing happened.  It was a 10,000 point wish.  She's one wish away from done, so I definitely wanted it both times, but then couldn't use it, so moved on since the "Marry X" wish also fills the void.  That's the issue I'm dealing with.  Just want to make sure I haven't invalidated my attempt by having her remarry rather than resurrect the first spouse...and I guess making sure it's okay for her to have a third spouse now and get "Marry X" as three of her 5,000 point wishes.

You voided your HoF status by moving in someone else so...whatever, really.

Wishes are tough and those "Resurrect X" wishes are sneaky in how they disappear.

Crud!!!  Guess I'll be restarting then.  Glad it happened with the founder, though, rather than something like generation 6.
