Hi, I just wanted to ask a quick question to make sure it was legal. Can we use the ghost potion on a spouse to have heirs? Like, if the chosen spouse is a life state you already have (ie witch) can you use the ghost potion to get an old age ghost heir?

Yes and it has been done by other HoF dynasties before too! (Shirin and Ricalynn come to mind)

The Ghost Potion doesn't permanently change their lifestate, and it's kind of a crapshoot as to whether you'll get a ghostboo out of it or not. That's a little bit harder than using a one-time, permanent elixir.

Thanks, Trip!

I know I'm keeping the current set (generation 1) a bit isolated, but just getting that Kelp was a hassle lol

@dontmindme, I used the ghost potion on generation 6 and her husband both, and their first child was a non-occult. It was their second child that became the heir. :)

If you want a ghost baby, I would make the spouse be a ghost and then use a ghost potion on the heir to give yourself a better chance.

Thanks for all of the advice, guys. The founder's genes have turned out to be really strong and so the person I'm eyeing to hopefully change things up a bit is a vampire but since I want ghosts, not other occults, I just wanted to make sure this was legal. Better than inviting them out all the time and waiting for them to die of thirst.

If you're wanting the vampire to die earlier, and do it in a legal way, after the heir is born, have the vampire go buy the cure from the science building. It won't be insta-kill, but the lifespan will be significantly shortened.

Apologies for the double-post, need confirmation on something else.

Way back when, the combined rabbitholes were causing some issues for opportunities. My heir picked up the opportunity for the Scout Badging ceremony, and he gets the white star/blue background that shows the opportunity location. However, there is no option to attend the ceremony, only for him to quit Scouting, or for his parents to remove him from Scouting.

I am playing in Isla Paradiso, and the school is a combined rabbithole with the stadium. I would like to confirm that I can still count this opportunity as being completed, due to the bug.

Edit: On the 2nd to last day of school, the heir got the Schoolyard Chums opportunity, so after Scouting, he stalked the target and finally got him with a Jar of Friendship elixir lol I would still like confirmation for future, though.

I'll let it count in the future. Thank goodness for the second op!

Combined rabbitholes have gotten a little better with ops since the bug first appeared. My first heir for my 4x4 got a few career ops while working in a combined hospital/science lab rabbithole. Sad that the school ones aren't working as well. :(

Indeed, and I hope to avoid using the Ballet/Scouting ceremonies, but alas.

Thanks! :)

I smell an EA conspiracy against the Wind clan. :P

So my heir just aged up. The trait he gained at Teen (Socially Awkward) didn't stick, apparently (and to be fair, I didn't actually look). I'm ok to use TCE to add that trait back in, right?

(Also, hurray for having such a craptacular selection of LTW for him. *grumble*)

Hi, guys, so my twins aged up, both of them completing all of their requirements. Now I literally cannot decide which one to choose. I'd have gone with appearance but a) they're ghosts and b) from what I can see, they're pretty much identical. The only 'bad ' trait in the lot is Twin A's Mean-Spirited, which seems to have been offset by his 'Shy' trait. Additionally, Twin A has Slob, Disciplined, and Equestrian and I was thinking about doing athletics and martial arts with him and his career rewards would be the athletic cert and the Golden Fox. Twin B has Eccentric, No Sense of Humor, Virtuoso, Hates the Outdoors, Over-Emotional. I planned on him doing the Inventor challenges and career alongside one skill challenge from an instrument. So, if anyone has any advice, I'd welcome it because I am stuck.

Twin A sounds a little more straightforward in what you can do with him.

You could always save them to the CAS bin and take a look at their human forms while in CAS. I had to do that for my life states dynasty because everyone was a ghost and ghosts all look the same after a while. :P
