You can't have your heir clone their spouse. While it's fine under the 4x4 rules, the Life States Dynasty considers another sim a spouse when they're young adult or older. It's also why your sim has to wait until they're a young adult to turn an imaginary friend real in a life states dynasty.

Oh, my mistake. I had understood it that the heir had to be the young adult or older, not necessarily the spouse. But that makes sense.

(Clearly, I need to finish up my 4x4 and do another one of these.)

Wait the potential spouse has to be at least a young adult as well? I could have sworn that in the Ghosts of Twinbrook one of the spouses was a child when they joined the household

No real need for a debate here — the rules are quite clear — only spouses and spares are allowed in the house. So, bringing in a child/teen ghost is not even an option because children/Teens cannot be spouses.

I found this on page 7.

The Oh My Ghost opportunity is not banned so you can bring back a spouse that way.

Spouses don't have to be a different life state when they move in (Example: Samoht's story) but they do have to be their final life state before you ever have children.

@hazelnut - When your heir is YA or later, you can then move in the ghost to be a spouse and cake him up.    Metro and I are still discussing the founder part but part of me feels that in the spirit of the challenge, your founder would have to be his/her final life state at the completion of the tasks.   When Metro becomes free, he'll let me/us know his opinion.

Also on the same page (page 7).  Looks like Hazelnut got the thumbs up to move in the ghost and cake him up.  Not sure, should ask hazelnut directly about this.

Hazelnut's dynasty is a special case because she had limited life states to work with.  The normal potential spouse rules is he/she has to be young adult or older before joining the dynasty household.

So cloning DNA for potential spouse is a "no" for this lifestate dynasty.  Hope I clear out all the confusion.

Thanks Hazelnut for your info and thanks Trip for your help.

I am really sorry if this has already been answered but I was wondering if I could change the founders life state outside of CAS as I don't have supernatural?

Which life state were you thinking of changing it to and how were you planning to do it?

We've allowed founders to change life states through legal means before (so no elixirs, no Mermaidic Kelp LTR, and no dying to become a ghost), so I don't see why that wouldn't be allowed.

I've started over on this once more after doing a reinstall of the game due to too many problems, my dynasty was still playable but had some glitches already so I thought a fresh start with my fresh install would be a good idea.

I recently made my self sim into a Genie for the moodlet challenge and I liked it so much I decided to use her this time instead of the witch, I'm assuming that we can't ensorcel sims as it classes as adding to the household, is this correct? what about the genies intended spouse as he will be joining anyway? not sure why I would want to but I might find it handy at some point so it would be good to know.

She rolled the equestrian trait so I chose The Jockey LTW, can the Professional Horse Training Seminar that pops up randomly at the equestrian center count for an op?

It came up before but I've since restarted, I had to remove ITF as she's not in a rabbit hole and ops were not happening apart from this one, I wasn't sure if it counted or not and was going to ask but then the horse stepped off the lot turning to get in the door and lost it  ::) I've put the larger center in this time with more space in front of the door so that wont happen, but I'm still not sure if it counts.

Correct, you can't ensorcel other sims, but ensorceling a future spouse is an interesting case to bring up. I don't know the answer.

Professional Horse Training Seminar is a valid op.
