Thank you so much for the help, Shirin and Nutella! I'll be sure to keep the heirs (and founder) away from the fountain until the requirements have been completed.  :)

I know that we can give back missing traits to heirs, but do we reroll or give them the same trait when we rolled the first time?

Metro said to give them the first trait when I asked a while ago.

Thanks, my sims always seem to lose a trait when they age up.

Can I send the heir or non-heir kid to boarding school?

No for heirs, because boarding school assigns traits from a small pool of traits, and most of the traits are very beneficial. Non-heirs can be sent, and it's a marvelous way to get them out of your hair. :P

Okay, thx.
My sim is getting a lot of wishes to send her kids to boarding school and I'm glad I could send the spare.

Well, two kids out of my way then. It's so tiresome to controlling 7 people at once.

Question about hybrids (or the closest we can get to hybrids, anyway :P):

I read in the Guide that having a true occult (fairy, werewolf, vampire, etc) breed with an alien gets rid of the alien's powers.

Does this mean that an alien heir is still legit, without powers?

They need to have alien powers to count as an alien. Alien powers manifest during teenhood. The safest thing to do is to treat any kids that aren't clearly born as another occult type as a potential heir until you have confirmation on who's an alien and who isn't.

If you're combining an alien with another life state, the kids should be either/or. So unless the non-alien parent is normal, if the kids don't have the ring around their pictures, they're aliens. Aliens will also have the black eyes while non-aliens won't. (has a set of twins, one fairy and one alien; the fairy has normal if alien-shaped eyes while the alien has fully black eyes)

Also, all the alien kids I've ever played always have this funny hollow-ish voice.

My Gen 5 heir just finally caught the 8th firefly for her collection, but the skill challenge did not complete! I looked it up and apparently this has happened before. I know she definitely caught them all because I checked the collection journal. May I count this?

@ombradellarosa

Yes you may.  The firefly skill challenge collection bug still hasn't been fixed.
