So adventure/travel opportunities are allowed, right?

No.   Adventures are not allowed - only opportunities that pop up under work, skill or special.

there's another big wish for the list. Discover 100 stars is worth 20,000 which is rather tasty. The sim had completed Discover 50 stars and it rolled upon discovering her 51st

I'll add it to the list (and I thought discovering 50 was boring..)

Hmm, question on the Unique Skill Challenges...

I completed Money Maker for Athena, under the Guitar skill tab. Can I complete Money Maker under another instrument and have it count as unique, or is it not because they are essentially identical except for the instrument involved?

They're all unique even though they have the same name.  Completing one will not complete it for the other instruments.

I know there has been discussion about the combination rabbitholes in this challenge, but I've been combing the challenge thread with no luck, so I'll just ask:

Prior to entering the game in Moonlight Falls, can you remove the combination rabbithole (ex: the school/stadium) and replace it with two separate buildings?

It specifically says it in the FAQ that you cannot replace buildings unless you are given permission.    If you want to add two new buildings, that is allowable in the rules.   

Can I use Edit Town to replace the City Hall in Sunset Valley with the combination one from Bridgeport?
 --No. This is to be done on a case by case basis with approval from Metro, Ratchie, Pam or myself. Some rabbit holes can be replaced if there is a bug involved or to add something to the town. With the exception of empty lots, all other lots from a town must remain unchanged until such a time as your Sim family owns it and then makes changes via build mode.  If you want to combine rabbit holes just to create more room for other buildings, think of what buildings have no value to a dynasty.  Extra libraries, gyms, casinos and parks don't actually help with skills or requirements most of the time so if you still need room for lots that do help with requirements, think about trimming those down first. Example of allowed replacements:  You can replace the stadium in Sunset Valley with the Binder Clips stadium from Starlight Shores because it's both a stadium and a big show venue. Or if you are experiencing the combined building bug - you can ask permission to replace the combined building with two separate rabbit holes.
Dynasties are about strategy and part of that strategy is the town you choose.   All towns should still look like themselves once you've left Edit Town to start playing your game.

It does not say in the rules that you have to pick an already placed empty lot.   (Note: this is the only dynasty that does not say otherwise)

One more question:
Say your female heir becomes an elder before finishing her requirements. Can you use a potion or elixir to decrease her age, or must the next heir be brought in immediately after the requirements are complete?

**Extending Life** You may not use any method to extend an heir's life until they have completed all their requirements. Once all requirements are completed, then you are free to use whatever methods you wish to extend an heir's life. All 7 life states must be alive at the end of the dynasty. Non-heir household members are not tied to these restrictions.

I think the only time it's really considered a requirement is when you use one of the have a child/boy/girl 5k wishes.

Like Anna said, it's only a requirement if you need it to be.  Otherwise all requirements have to be finished before you even choose the "try for baby" option.
