Hi everyone!  As you know I've been remodeling Barnacle Bay to be a fun and friendly fantasy island world for those who are still a child at heart and proud of it.  It has lost it's piratical nature for the most part, (but not completely), and has become a place to have fun, fun, fun. It's almost ready to send to my testers but now I need to know what the population should be like.  Do we keep the pirate families?  Do we get rid of some of the less lovable characters?  Do we totally repopulate from Sims you all have created?  I'm leaving this choice up to you!

At the moment, there are no creepy vampires or zombies although there still are a few lurking paparazzi, the creepiest of them all!  I think it's a bit too sunny for those lovers of darkness but hey, if you want to add a vampire or two when you play it's entirely up to you.  I know I plan on a few supernaturals to live there.

After you vote, if you choose to delete SOME of the natives, let me know which ones you would prefer removed by adding a note to that effect.  If there are some who are your favorites let me know that as well.

The island has quite a bit of store content but should still be very playable by all who have all the Expansion and Stuff Packs up to and including Supernatural.  For the most part, the game will replace any store item you do not have with another item that is compatible unless it is something like a painting or statue.  You never know what it will give you then!  The big store items are buildings and items from Sunlit Tides,  Lunar Lakes, Hidden Springs, and Barnacle Bay itself as well as the Regency Arcade, Gothique Library and Olympian Physique.  I do not know if the game will replace some of the standard rabbit hole or commercial buildings if you do not have these venues but hopefully that is something my testers will find out!

I voted the mix. I am kind of fond of the following:
- The Coastals - I did a DecaDynasty starting with them and made it to generation 5 before glitches caused me to fail. I still love them.
- Jasmine Noon - The first Immortal Dynasty I tried used her as a spouse. She's not bad as a Dynasty spouse, kids. ;)
As for the rest? Nuke 'em.

It might be cute to take the original townies and "update" them for the fantasy world. You could turn them into witches, or use cheats to make their ears pointy, or simply give them fancy new clothing. I think it'd be a nice comprimise.  :)

I think either editing them like Ausette said or simply replacing some of them would be a good idea. I personally like Marvin McKeller (I think that's his first name. He lived on the far outskirts of town) and think he could interesting in Enchanted Havens.

I don't know any of the Barnacle Bay characters so I voted to replace them all, but if there are particular ones that you'd like to keep that would work too.  If you're looking for volunteers to make Sims, I'd be glad to help.

I woted for all forum sims. Because I really enjoy all the forum made sims in Union Cove, and it would be wonderful to have a similarly divers group to explore. 

Also, if you are looking for three three party animal fairies, they hang out at my place.

I'd vote for a mix. Or all forum sims. I'd like to see some forum sims because running Union Cove is a nightmare on my laptop; how much would be up to you.

InfraGreen, (sorry too long to remember it all, lol),  if UC is a nightmare I'm afraid this one is going to be even worse.  I'm trying to loosen the load a bit but right now it is even more laggy than UC.  I'll work on it because I want to be able to play it too.  lol

It seems so far the middle road has it.  Keep some and get rid of others.  I agree with the Coastals and Jamine Noon.  So far they seem to be the most interactive with my fairy family in the oh so slow game.  I already nuked the Annans.  Just didn't like them for no particular reason except such a huge family.  Most of the houses are tiny, one bedroom ones at the moment.

Ausette, your idea of making some of them supernaturals is happening automatically.  As I've tried to play in it, I started seeing more and more "halos" around people in my contacts list.  Then I started seeing folks zipping around on brooms and finally, a few werewolves and lots of witches and fairies.  I could save those who have transformed to my library and then upload them back into the file that will be the share file.  So it could be a great idea to just go ahead and "remodel" some of the townies.  Some really aren't worth the effort though.

I'm going to need someone who does not have a lot of store items as a tester.  I believe I've already asked Schipperke and JudeWright to test for me, (not sure on Jude), and I'll have to check my notes to see who else I've asked.  Just one more needed without store items.

How do you all feel about the Goldbeards?

Some folks have already offered up their Sims for me to use which is really cool.  Wiry is making some Sims for me as well that I may use here or in one of the other remodels.  Sims are always welcome even if I don't use them immediately.  I'm always remodeling worlds.  My question though is, how do I actually get them into my inventory?  I have several Sims downloaded that show up in the launcher as installed but I don't seem them in either CAS or my inventory so can't use/play them.

Joria, as I told you, I'm glad to be a tester.  But I'd just like to remind you (I think you know) that I do have quite a bit of store stuff - not everything, but a lot.

As for Sims, You are welcome to use any that I've uploaded to the Swap Shop or that I made for Union Cove.

Speaking of, where would you like them put when they're finished?  I have no idea how to use the Exchange though  ::)
