Getting Rid of Simbot?
« on: June 13, 2010, 05:07:40 PM »
My Sim bought a Simbot as his lifetime wish and I've decided I want to get rid of it. So the question is...  how do I get rid of it? ???

I know that ones created by the Inventor can be immediately released into the community. I'm guessing when you click on it that's not an option?

Cheating would be simplest in any event —

Open the cheat panel
testingcheatsenabled true
Return
Shift-Click on the bot and you should have an option to delete the object.

Yeah, you can do trigger age transition too if he annoys you so much you'd just like to off him. Delete the tombstone if ghosts get on your nerves.

Can't simbots move out on their own like other sims?  The robots in Sims 2 could do that.

That would be simple enough. I'll check that out and give a shout back.

EDIT: Yep. Confirmed. Simbots just need to use their cellphone and they can move out like any other Sim. Nice suggestion, Schipperke. Unquestionably, the simplest solution of all without resorting to cheating.

Yes that's what I did with my first simbot. Got it through reward, discovered it was evil, so kicked it out! lol :)

Hmm, you know that their traits are reprogrammeable after a short out? Just have him/her play with a sprinkler and have another sim give it new traits.

Yes lol I know that now thanks to your tips but too late I already got rid of him. I'll make a nice shiny one instead some time.

I just wish you could reprogram sims so that they didn't react to them every last time they walk into the room.  I would absolutely love simbots then.
