Problem with selling things from inventory
« on: September 07, 2012, 03:57:33 PM »
Ever since the patch just prior to the Supernatural release, every time I try to sell something from my inventory it will sell, but then the item itself ends up on the ground in front of me.  If I drag it to my inventory to sell it again, not only will I get the sales price, but it often goes back to the ground to be sold for a third (or fourth, or eleventh) time.

This has happened with premade families (like Claire Ursine) and it has happened with empty lots, starter houses, and in various towns.  I have no mods or content other than from the store and a few patterns that I created myself with the create-a-pattern tool.

I can work around it by dragging the item to the ground and going to buy mode to use the sledgehammer to sell items, but it gets tedious not being able to sell anything from my inventory.  Is anyone else having this problem?

I believe this is a bug more people have since the last patch. It is mentioned on page 10 of this thread.
Problem? Don't panic! There is always a solution. You just have to find it  :D

This is strictly speaking no bug. In the event that you pause your game and then sell thru the inventory the item will continue to appear only once on the ground, but more times on counters/desks. The solution is to un-pause your game and the object will disappear.
If however you wish to gain a little more money by selling it over and over again just set the object on a counter and drag it to your inventory. It will continue to be sold till you un-pause your game.
