Can't make elixirs

I click mix exlir, and my witch drops the interaction. She has stuff for them in her inventory, it just drops the interaction.

Are they standing next to the alchemy station or are they in another room? Have you tried with a new station in case the other one is bugged?  Have you reset the Sim?  When was the last time you cleared out your cache files?

Yep she was standing near it, I got another one but it did the same thing. I did reset her. I haven't cleaned them out, ever. Cleaning them out would mess with the premium content I have.
Edit: Is there a certain level you can start making them?

If you clear out the DCBackup all the way except for the ccmerged then it won't mess with your Premium content.  There are other files too that don't involve the DCBackup folder. They are the scriptCache.package, CASPartCache.package, compositorCache.package, and simCompositorCache.package.   I have all of the premium content and all of mine still works and these files get deleted every day.  You just need to remember to keep the ccmerged.package from your DCBackup and you'll be ok.  Don't touch the DCCache file. 

Try it and it may work.  If nothing else, it will help alleviate space taken up by the Sims folder and it may get rid of another glitch or two you didn't know you still had.

It didn't work, she still drops the interaction.

I don't know if this will help but it is something I found out quite by accident. I bought a wand and was able to place it on the alchemy station table (the right side of the station if your Sim is facing it). I wanted my Sim to start practicing alchemy so clicked on the station and the action immediately cancelled and she had the "I can't get there" tantrum. I took the wand off and she used the station no problem.

It probably isn't the case with your Sim since you did buy another table and have cleared all the caches but it is something I would have never thought of if it had not happened to me.

I hope it is okay to post this here since putting an object on it can cause the brew or practice actions to cancel.

I was having this exact problem too. The only thing that fixed it for me, was putting the alchemy station outside. Sounds funky but it worked. Best of luck!

Thanks, The Ashpie. Your solution worked for me as well. My alchemist was reacting to Mix Elixer interaction as if I'd done a resetsim, popping herself back into the house every time.  I put an alchemy station in her backyard and one outside of the Elixer Shop and she's happily mixing away!

there is also a alchemy table in the elixir shop and in the archives behind the library.  But it might be the fact it was indoors that was messing you up.  I didn't have the problem so I can't help other that to suggest alternate places.

Sadly nothing works, even at the shop. I uninstalled the game and reinstalled it, Agnes still can't make Exlirs, she's level 5. It happens in all towns, no matter where the alchemy station is.

Here is something else you might want to try. There are other people having this same problem and apparently, for them, it was linked to bugged seeds in their inventory. Another person had some bugged gems. When they took those items out of their inventory they were able to make elixirs again.

I would take those items out of your Sims inventory and give it another go. This is the thread where I got that information:  http://forum.thesims3.com/jforum/posts/list/585275.page

It worked she can make them now, thank you very much, I put all her seeds away and I told her to mix elixir, and the list came up, I'm in shock. I'm so happy, thanks for telling me about this glitch. I had heard of a similar glitch happening before, but had no idea it would glitch making elixirs.
