Just another random question:
An Immortal's Supermax is going to be Martial Arts, with a lifetime wish of Physical Perfection. My Athletic career is bugged in 99% of my files, so that it's constantly stuck at level 1. I was planning on having her pursue the Thief Criminal career, but since I'm getting Showtime soon, I'm considering switching to the Acrobatics career--which I've never played before. Is it easy to max without practice, or should I stick to Criminal?

Acrobat isn't too hard to max, but I'd recommend having a moodlet manager because they'll get fatigued after performing for tips. Willow maxed it a few days before her elder birthday, and she would have done it much sooner if she wasn't a chronic procrastinator.

I'd just prefer Acrobat because A) I want to test out the new career, and B) I don't want to have an Evil sim for eternity. She's probably end up alienating her family!

They don't have to be evil just to be in the criminal career.

One tip I would have (being a novice Immortal Dynasty participant) is to not have a lot of harvesting plants at the start.  For some people, that would seem obvious, but silly me didn't realise that it really eats away at time to harvest plants.  My founder was out from dawn till 10pm most days harvesting!  I can't believe I didn't think of it! Her poor husband was fatigued, hungry and smelly from looking after twins.

Now, she's maxed Gardening, and only grows special seeds that she finds, and the area covers only what one sprinkler can water.  It's much faster, and now she can actually function as a regular Sim.

Another tip, which many people have mentioned, is plan!  I found the template that Pam used to be very helpful.

I know, but it boosts promotion time.

I divide my garden into sections. I put basic things like apples grapes etc in one section, then plant uncommon seeds in another section, special seeds in another. That way my gardener can just focus on one part of the garden each day. I usually get spouses that have nothing to do harvest as well.

Yes - and do consider that anyone at all can harvest until the cowplants come home without learning the Gardening skill.

With all the new plants from Supernatural, I've started separating alchemy plants from food plants, and if I'm going after Perfect Garden I'll have one row that's just my "top 8", which get moved or deleted and replanted from their first harvest. It's easier to track that way.

One more gardening thing, store plants(especially perfect ones)in a world adventure chest for any future Nectar makers. You can just leave them in a Sims inventory but there is a chance that they may just randomly eat them.

You can also store produce in the alchemy cabinet from Supernatural (along with ores, gems, gem dust, gnomes, pictures, bugs, teddy bears...)

I store mine in a sub-basement. In my basement, I build my museum (and I spend hours designing the rooms so that each future immortal has enough space for their museum pieces) as well as specialist skilling rooms for future immortals (with spiral staircase and locked door going down from their bedroom). Below that level is my sub-basement in which I store all manner of things - death fruit, life fruit, statues, paintings etc. As I need to (or when my need for the sub-basement level to be the same size as my basement level kicks in) I increase the size of the sub-basement level.

How do I afford that? Well, a mortal housemate buys the genie lamp with lthp and wishes for wealth three times.

This chance is much higher if the Sims are Insane ;) Three guesses why Rachel thought of this, and the first two don't count...

Yes, alchemy cabinets are brilliant. They're not only storage but display as well! Nothing like an alchemy cabinet full of elixir bottles to make a witch's lair look just right :)

My museum is stored in an inaccessible basement. I shuttle paintings down via Serrano's inventory (that way, I don't have to drag the mouse all the way across - it's located under my old house, which is a fair way off the mansion). I also have a generic museum located across from the Zen Garden, with sarcophagi (etc) in it, plus a secret entrance to a secret place. ;)

Since the value of the museum is actually the entire point of the dynasty:
Is the "museum" only portraits/sculptures/photos, or do floors and other objects within the room count?

Only the art counts. It's not even the entire point of the dynasty; the main point is just completion. Museum scores are just nice to things to (kindly) brag about.
