Ok, after attempting this I realized I'm not ready to do needs dynamic with more than 1 sim at a time.  So I guess I'm a DNF until next year.

Had a few days spare, but nothing that I could do with them. This was fairly tricky to handle, but pretty enjoyable

Whewww!  Well I almost made my goal of doing all the challenges for the year.. just missed the consignment challenge one beause I couldn't not get items to register as consigned.  Can't wait for next year!!  Thank you!!

drift, I'm pretty sure that if you're scoring only one pet, there's only 23 skills possible to max if you have all the EPs. Even so, you've got an incredible score!

@drfit can you please recheck you score as well as the skill challenges count in case you accidentally did score more than one pet.

I got a total of 23 skills available too. On Carl's guide there is 23 skills listed for a Sim to do but consignment and collector do not count as true skills for this challenge as there are no levels. You can use the collecting skill challenges to count towards the score though.

That's right... there's one skill that's not on the guide though, I think.

It has been brought to the challenge team's attention that some might consider the Gambling skill to actually be a skill because it's in the skill journal.  However, because it only comes with premium content, we feel that it is not a skill and it therefore cannot count as a skill in a player's score for this challenge.    If you have already turned in your score and counted the gambling skill, please let us know immediately so that we can update your information on the leaderboard. 


As for the telescope and space rock issues that updated players are having, unfortunately there are no known workarounds for this game glitch and it is completely out of our hands.   We do not have a solution for players that are doing the challenge after the 1.42 patch was released.   We can only hope that maybe EA will do a quick patch in the very near future.

Well, it's hard to believe the 2012 Tournament season ends tomorrow at midnight (Sunday). Whew. It's gone by fast. But, I just wanted to quickly point that out to anyone hoping to finish up or even jumping in at this 11th hour to at least make a post with some type of score.

After I compute the final World Ranking for this year and announce the champion on Monday, I will be taking one week off from the Tournament to prepare for 2013 and will post the new General Rules, World Ranking info as well as the first 2 rulesets for next year on Dec 10.

Ahh yes the 11th hr comments.
I started this challenge with 4 real time days to go.
I am still plugging away here, however at 4 weeks and 6 days one sim died at the workbench, as I was unsure what to do from there I ended up choosing to revert to an earlier save and continue. If I made the wrong choice please simply mark me as DNF or chart me at 10 skills lvl 10, 21 points partial, and 9 challenges.
With another day of real time still with me, I am currently working along with 17 lvl 10 skills, and soon to be 20 challenges. They are fun, and I want to thank you for all your work over the years, as I played many silently.

Typically when a sim dies you just continue without said sim. You score them and other sims still can't skill in the skills in which they started but you are not normally allows to quit without saving.

Exiting without saving to avoid a mistake or an unfortunate occurrence (i.e. burglar or fire) is cheating. Restarting from an earlier save is also cheating. In the event that your challenge file is plagued by a game-breaking bug, then you will need to provide me with specifics. I will then make a decision as to restarting from a previous save or simply allowing a complete restart.
