2012 Tournament Finale: Got Skills?

I asked a question about the mushroom skill challenge a couple of days ago, but I think it got lost in the shuffle.  Anyway, I discovered in the Life states Dynasty thread that everyone in the household harvests a mushroom whenever one person does. And sure enough, when I returned to my file, I saw that my sim who hasn't touched a mushroom has completed this challenge as well as his partner. I don't think it's a glitch, I think it will probably happen to everyone who grows mushrooms.

I hope you won't decide it's a disqualification. The question is whether you want us to count the mushroom skill challenge or to remove it from challenges that can be scored.

Sorry about that.  For some reason, I thought Metro had ruled on this.   Because it seems to be something that happens regardless of who picks up the mushrooms, it might be best to act as if that skill challenge doesn't exist for one Sim.  However, we have people who have already turned in their scores and we need to figure out if they included this challenge in their scores.  I'll poke at Metro to see his thoughts soon.

Edit: Metro says that as long as you only count the challenge once in your final score then it's a non issue.  It's going to be a pass for everyone on the two Sims can't have the same challenges but otherwise, it's a go.

What about the skill-related potions (chemistry)?  Specifically, mood enhancer and radical reparum?  Also, of course, young again?

Do they change traits?  Do they boost how fast you learn skills or give you a skill boost?  Then they're fine as per the rules.

I did not manage to complete the Mushroom challenge as all the mushrooms were not spawning in the town I played.

It's ok Lynnette.  The way Metro ruled it unless you had chosen to count it twice, your score isn't effected at all.

Maxed skills - 20 x 1000 = 20,000
skill points - 15 x 50 =            750

skill challenges - 58 x .05 = 2.9 + 1 = 3.9.

20,750 x 3.9 = 80,925 - Final Score

Collecting is not a skill but it has challenges, can both my sims do these challenges if they don't do the same ones? Or do I need to be careful that the other one doesn't do anything that fires them up? Well, except the mushroom challenge that was discussed earlier.

My understanding is that you could have your two sims collect different things, but be careful.

That was fun!  I have never played this set of traits before and was laughing at my photography sim who pretty much had a little temper tantrum before taking every single picture

This was a great challenge, thanks!  Candle and Liir taught me a lot of things that are really going to help in my Dynasty attempts.  My scores:

22 maxed skills = 22000
3 skill points = 150
33 skill challenges = 1.65
