I'm finding the zombies more and more annoying.  At first they were fine, then they started getting into my garden, so I gated and locked it...no problem.

But now...now I've taken a trip to China and there are zombies everywhere day and night.  I'm trying to max my martial arts skill and when I go to set up a challenge to spar, the sim I'm challenging is a zombie and will not come to spar.  GAH!

I haven't gone travelling yet, so I don't know if that's happening in my game. But, I have to ask: Did you leave during the day or at night? If you left at night on the Full Moon, that might be what's causing it. Game time pauses while you're elsewhere, after all.
A 1920s era house needing heat, AC, new floors, new drywall on the walls and ceilings, new bathroom fixtures, new kitchen cabinets, new water heaters.... The roof is sound, but why didn't I just buy an empty lot?

I left at night, but it was a new moon.  I have zombies pop up day and night in my game, regardless of the moon phase.

Apparently you get a +20 moodlet for kissing on a full moon. Moven ended up with something like four positive moodlets from her date - first kiss, first romance, kissing under full moon, and great date, lol.

And now Zack Durwood is a fairy because mumma's girl ain't dating no human.

My husband surprised me with this expansion pack on 09-06 as a late birthday present. I had just picked up Pets and Showtime a few weeks earlier as "early" presents from hubby and kids, so wow, a lot going on with my Sims right now!
I love having the moon and fairies. Haven't done much with the other supernaturals yet. But alchemy has been very interesting. I haven't dared throw anything at another sim yet but I am thinking of trying it on a paparazzi if they get too annoying.
I DO NOT LIKE the zombies, but then I knew I wouldn't, so it wasn't much of a surprise. Having several of them tear up and destroy half my garden on the 1st full moon solidified the dislike.
And then story progression(which I usually turn off as I don't like it messing with any of my Sims) went and moved out of town the one family that is friends with everyone in my active family! The potential love interest of little Sophie no less! Needless to say, I didn't save and it is now turned off!
Besides that, I love the new content and most of the new game play.

If it helps, I haven't had any negative reactions to throwing elixirs. A lot of the time I throw things like vial of bliss or the friendship jars and I get positive reactions in the form of the blue + the same as when a friendly interaction is accepted and their relationship improves. When I've turned someone into a werewolf or fairy there was no + but no - either - it was basically a neutral response in terms of specific measures, and the sims in question just sort of looked interested or mildly pleased about the change.

Now obviously it's going to be different if you chuck a flask of angry bees at someone, so save that for the paparazzi! I've basically been sticking to making the more useful positive ones though, and I'm going for the alchemy LTW where I have to "use" (either by throwing or drinking) 50 elixirs. I'm a little more than halfway done on that.

When Supernatural was announced, I wasn't at all excited simply because I don't play occult life states, and I didn't plan to buy it. But I decided to take a gamble on this EP, mostly because I liked the idea of the gem cutting machine, Bonehilda and the new collectibles. After playing for a few hours, I absolutely love Supernatural. It's so much fun playing different life states that I'm mentally kicking myself for not doing it sooner.

The only minor annoyance I have is with Zombies, and their potential to wreck havoc on my Dynasty and Legacy files, but it's nothing that can't be solved with a fence and a locked gate.

The new plant harvestables are Wolfsbane Flower(common), Red Valerian Root(common), White Caps(common), Porcinis(common), Red Toadstools(common), Ghost Chili(rare), Glow Orbs(rare), Truffles(rare), Spotlight Mushrooms(uncommon), Mycenas(uncommon), and Mandrake Root(common).

Can any of these be used in nectar?

I know mostly everyone is playing in the new neighborhood - naturally. But is anyone playing in the old neighborhoods? What is different? Are there Supernatural townies now? Are they singing in the street? (If you also have Showtime)

And do all the collectables show up in other towns or will we have to place our own spawners?

I did find a wolfsbane seed while I was playing Starlight Shores. I haven't tried the other towns so I'm not really sure if they spawn collectibles.

I've found seeds from the new plants as well as some of the mushrooms in Starlight Shores, though my usual collector sim in my dynasty file has the gardening bug, so the rare mushrooms just disappear into the ether when she tries to pick them up.

I'm in Riverview and found a truffle, so I'm assuming they are spawning without including new spawners. :)

I'm in Sunset Valley and have found Wolfsbane, Red Valerian root and Mandrake seeds. There have also been Truffles, Mycenas, Toadstools and Porchinis. I collected a bunch of unknowns seeds but the above listed are the only ones I've found so far.

Hmm there's a good point, the unknown uncommons and rares could be new plants, couldn't they? I was picking most of them up but intending to just use them as fertiliser! (Though planting them would help with the skill challenge to plant 19 different plants, my fairy's only got 13.) This is the first xpac I've had apart from World Adventures that has new plants so that didn't occur to me.
