This is all kind of random --

The bookcase door is located in the Door section of Building. It only functions as a door, not as a bookcase.

There's a train set in the playground at the school in Moonlight Falls. One of my fairies used it -- very cute!

Alchemy has 3 associated challenges. The alchemy set is in with hobbies and is not very expensive. I think it costs something to make recipes, like with cooking.

Awwww, the bookcase door in the TS2 worked as both a bookcase and a door on both sides, so it was nice inputting that as a bedroom door, and the sim inside wouldn't have to go anywhere for a book. I wish they had kept that aspect of it, you know?

Wow, I'm getting really excited reading all of this. I may be getting my copy as soon as tomorrow, one day before release, since I just got a message saying the game is on it's way.

The new LTWs sound interesting and I'm glad do hear there's lots of furniture and CAS stuff. It would be great if someone could post a list of the new LTRs, too. The only one I know is the one that allows witches to cast spells without a wand, but I'm sure there's some other cool ones. :)

Xazeal - I bought the Prima guide since I was traveling all day and could read it on the way. The game is downloading now, but according to that (sometimes wrong) guide:
Flying Vacuum (10,000) - yes, a flying vacuum
Philosopher's Stone (40,000) - turns other items into gold
Alpha Dog (20,000) - for Werewolves - Sims tremble more and bites are guaranteed to be effective in turning Sims into werewolves
Magic Hands (20,000) - for Witches - no need to use wands and spells never fail
King/Queen of the Fae - for Fairies - summon other fairies, change wing shape and color at will, and less drain for magic

-Mystic Healer: Cure 12 different transformed Sims using 'Sunlight Charm' or 'Potent Cure' Elixir - This applies to turning back any zombies and any other magically transformed creatures (well, those who were transformed twice at least). 'Sunlight Charm' is from the fairy line, while alchemy will be needed to create the 'Potent Cure' elixir.

-Zombie Master: Turn 10 different Sims into Zombies using the 'Reanimation Ritual' or a 'Zombification' Elixir - I'm not exactly sure about what supernatural species would cause the 'Reanimation Ritual', but alchemy will most definitely be needed for a 'Zombification' Elixir.

These are both Witch/Alchemist LTWs. The Sunlight charm removes Zombification and Pestilence. Reanimation ritual can only be cast on tombstones where the Sim has not yet 'moved on'. Not sure how we'll come up with 10 easily as it doesn't seem there are that many in Moonlight Falls cemetery.

Overall it's been fun to dive in but I am not a huge fan of the alternate life states, so might have skipped this if i weren't covering it. I'm not sure about that though: the 12 new plants is pretty appealing given how sparsely those have come over the last EPs. Moonlight Falls is beautiful although feeling a little too sparsely populated for my taste.

Zombies are a disappointment so far, but I'm really not sure what I expected  ???

I can confirm the Flying Vaccuum, Philosopher's Stone, and Queen of the Fae LTR's. Faeries are the only life state I have played so far though.

I don't have it yet, UK doesn't get it until the 7th, but from what I've seen on here about it, the live chats, the blogs, it is really looking awesome and I can't wait to try it out.

New "mundane" interactions: on a pond, "skip stone"; on a radio, "Smustle Dance" as a subset of "Dance".

For the fairies, you can buy these little mini fairy homes, there is one that is like a quaint little treehouse, and another that is bigger like a castle. THe fairies can go inside them to nap, sleep, woohoo, change clothes, drink 'pollen punch', or throw a fairy party.

To go with the three new gems, there are also three new cuts that can be done using the new gem cutter - a Sun cut, a moon cut and gem dust.  Gem dust is part of alchemy.  I'm enjoying being able to cut a stack of gems at once without having to wait for the mail carrier to bring it to me the next day.  Less likely to get lots of magic gnomes and so far I haven't had any of the gems not get cut.  Put in 8 for star cut and get 8 star cut gems plus 12 gem dust.

Edit: Not to mention using the gem cutter doesn't cost any money beyond buying the item which was §975.

To add to the fairy houses, if it is placed outdoors, Sims with the Loves the Outdoors trait will have the "one with nature" moodlet when inside it. It can also be placed in a Sims inventory, which would come in very handy when fishing or collecting.

A zombie just walked into my house, then out into the back yard, and started eating my plants...  :o

I did not get the limited edition... is there any other way to get rid of them? They are kind of entertaining... I just dont want them eating my tomatoes.
