Hey Leto, did you also try to make a Ghost Baby? ??? Just saying, because nobody seems to have thought of this. ;)

Edit: Hello? :-\ :'(
Hmm, I haven't tested this LTW on ghost babies, but how do we know that ghosts are even supposed to be counted in this? Isn't it possible that it's just an exaggerated assumption?

By the way, Leto's Dutch, so he's in the same time zone as me and to me, your post was made 1.32 AM. ;)

It is actually 8:30am here and the forum time says 10:20am.  Wasn't trying to get off topic, but saw that you mentioned it.

I actually took that into account. Don't know why the forum does that. Well, you're right; no more off-topic here! I'm a moderator, so I can be mean and say that noone should respond to me! ;D (If you really do want to discuss the forum time, do so in another thread :))

As I said, nobody seemed to have thought about it, I could do some testing. Let's see... it says "laborical (SimBot), Mystical (Mummy I guess, since you summon it in a kind of ritual), and Convergent means." Maybe the convergent part means a hybird, and could be Sim/Ghost.

I'm going to test right now.

In Leto's Walkthrough it says Ghosts can't be counted?

What I'm thinking is, try what happens when you revive the ghost using your own money (i.e. not free from the skill opportunity, but afterwards). I have a hunch it may be a difference there.

Supposedly you can also transmute 8 of the same color spirits on the carter display and get back remains that can be resurrected.  Have not confirmed this though.  Might be another way to test the ghost counting for the LTW too.

Hey, Leto, here's one for you:  what about the clones my game keeps creating whenever my sims travel?  If they don't qualify as monsters, they should, the way they keep messing up my game!  Just kidding, I guess.   ;) ;D

Haha, sorry for posting to you so late. I didn't saw this one before. Your way of cloning sounds familiair to me. To familiair I'm afraid. I had that to, with my rich sims. I don't know if that have anything to do with it, but their house was probably to big for my family so the game begin to protest... in a cloning way.

Edit: Hello? :-\ :'(

Sorry for responding so late. It's that my personal life is calling big time these days. If I don't respond, I probably haven't see your post. But if the question is very important for you (or anyone else) you can always pm me. Because if I have little time (and I have that more often now :() I will find the time to check my mail here. At least.

But to get back to your question. I haven't tried to 'create' a baby ghost. I know how to do that, but I haven't done it before. I'm too busy with building and stuff (fooling around with Create a World whenever my computer likes to allow me). But to be honest, I am mostly the more 'realistic' player. Looking at my guide, I know this sounds pretty weird, but normally I play the Sims as much as I can compare that with the real life.

And for the guide, I just liked to do the exact same thing the other way around. Haha, monsters everywhere. :P

So you think that moving them into a smaller house would help?  (I assume you're kidding).  Actually, I think I have a solution to the problem.  A lot of people are having their sims turn invisible when they travel, while my game keeps churning out clones that are all too visible.  If anyone needs a replacement for missing or invisible sims, just let me know - I'll be glad to send over a clone or two.  This doesn't violate any Challenge rules, does it Metro?   ;)

Hahaha, I like your way of writing. But actually, no, I was not kidding. I will not answer a question from you with a joke you can't do anything with because that is just annoying. You're asking for help (I thought you did :)), so I will not joke around. Okey, I will joke, but only if I can compare that with real working answers.

To get back to your post, I really think that I somehow have bugged the game by letting my sims live in my overgrown millionaire's mansion. My laptop just didn't like that. Because it was only then that the game shows itself to me in a real lagging way and I saw my sims moving like I was watching a photo/ dia presentation.

It asked a lot of my patience, what I didn't have at the moment and therefore I moved my sims out after one of them got cloned. I have that posted in another post months ago. Maybe you remember that.
When I moved my sims out, the problem was solved. No more cloning behind my back. So yeah, it is probably something that has lagged your game, and although I really hate it, I can't say for sure that this is true.

What laptop are you using Leto? A better laptop may solve your lagging problems, at least it did solve my problems.

An acer Aspire 6920. Bought 2 years ago. But I already have bought a huge computer which can play the Sims 3. That one has a solid state drive (no kidding) and is capable of starting up in 15 seconds or faster.
But that one has problems, too (Pinnacle doesn't work), so I have to wait with my creative outbursts before I can do anything.
I don't play The Sims 3 on this laptop anymore. My mother is so kind to me. I can borrow hers until I get my machine back.

I think the problem with big houses and many objects becomes a rendering issue.  The more stuff you have on a lot the longer it will take your computer to render all those objects and therefore your game will slow down.  I get this a lot when I've got a bunch of relics or a huge garden.

I think what it comes down to, the less stuff you've got the smoother your game will play.

And now I think this topic should head back to the LTW - Create 3 Monsters subject.  If there are any additional questions about computer speed or technical issues it can be brought up in the miscellaneous help forum.

Hrmm, Technical Help would be a better idea... ;)
