The LTW only states that you should possess 50,000$ in stolen goods, so shouldn't this count for everyone simultaneously no matter who stole it?
Wouldn't surprise me at least. Can anybody confirm?

I'm not quite following you. Are you saying if Sim A has the 9/10ths LTW and Sim B steals an item and it sits on their lot should it count towards Sim A's LTW? I certainly hope that's not possible. Then, what's the point of a given Sim going out and actually doing something?

In a test I ran I stole two cars, first the landgrabs, and then the alto's.

For the first car it didn't register as full value towards my LTW, but only it's sellable value.

For the second car it registered as full value.

I think this is a bug and is not working as intended. Your mileage may vary. :)

Well, the LTW says that you should, and I quote: "Possess 50,000 Simoleons worth of stolen goods". Now, this got me wondering; doesn't the whole household possess 50,000 simoleons worth of stolen goods at the same time? How do they define 'stolen goods'? Based on being stolen by the LTW holder, or based on the 'stolen' status?

I haven't tested this, but to me it sounds at least plausible that it could work. You know, like a team stealing effort. ;)

This LTW just keeps getting more bizarre by the minute. I tested your theory, and no...with 2 Kleptomaniacs in a family with the 9/10th LTW, only one received the LTW upon stealing the Wolff's Bwan Speedster. I hovered over the LTW of the Sim that DID attain the LTW — the one that stole the car — and it said that he had $5913/$50000 of stolen goods. Crazy.

I think I'm falling in love with this LTW...

Too bad that thing didn't work though, but all this is amazing!

Sadly, the bug has been fixed.  :( (I don't feel like I'm the one who should be delivering that news...)

You're not the first if that's what you mean. This thread was posted a few days ago.

My only complaint was you couldn't theft on public lots anymore. I loved heisting from the museums.

Well this LTW is certainly a lot harder now since the patch. In fact, I'm thinking near impossible. My klepto stole the Bwan Speedster but it was only listed as being worth a few grand toward the wish. So I figured it would take a bit longer. She stole another car and a few statues and the total was creeping up, then after she returned from a trip to Egypt, the total was nothing. Since then, she has stolen more things and the total began again but again it's back to zero and she didn't go on holiday. Have to check, but it's resetting to zero either at the beginning of the week perhaps (on week 3 currently) or when anyone from the household goes on holiday. Anyone else having this problem?

It probably has to do with vacations. I stole a boatload of relics and stuff in China but they never counted for anything. Also, you still can't steal from inside public buildings which annoys me.
