Yeah, really. A Klepto/Nine Tenths roll for the Wishmaster's Quartet would be sweetness! So easy.

I actually rolled this one for the Wishmaster's Quartet challenge!  I didn't realize how easy it could be, since I was busy stealing potted plants and lights!  then I found a house with 3 different cars (including the $80,000 one - can't remember the name)  and *Bam* done.  Now I just need to roll one when I'm not practicing, and when it actually counts!

:)

Good luck with that. Should have not practiced!  ;D

Hehe, Metro. You can make a challenge out of this wish.
Fullfill the 'Possession is Nine Tenths of the Law' within 5 hours. Let's see if it is still easy to do than. :P

Impossible. You don't get the Swipe Something possibility until 7 PM, so you're looking at a minimum of 11 hours wait time from when a new character begins. It's still simply amazing. The angle I'm taking for my walkthrough character is that he swiped Agnes' Bwan Speedster as a means to easily rise in the ranks of the criminal career because of the gush of LTH points and the rewards he was able to grab before even punching the clock for the very first time.

Okey, than I will give you 12 hours.
Oh, I'm so kind. :P
I still don't have the Prima Guide here, so I am wondering: how many new LTW are here now, with Ambitions?

I know, now I need to remake my 4 random Sims and hope klepto comes up again!  Awesome if it came up for more than one!  LOL  All four?  :D

That would be insane. Although Agnes Crumplebottom and the Wolffs are the only uber easy targets with cars parked outside. The Goths, Landgraabs, and Altos keep their cars in garages.

All you have to do is open their garage doors.  Wonder if you can take them when you do that.

Just think of all of those cars in Jon Lessons garage you can take too, that rakes it in.

Not really. It would be one good pay day and then what? That's kind of my conclusion of being a career Klepto — you can't really do it for the money because the well will run dry. There's only so many rich Sims and the amount you get on stolen items is less than 10% of retail value — an 85k Bwan Speedster translates to $5913. That's some kind of new funky math there.  ???

-----

EDIT: You can swipe cars in garages. I just confirmed that. Geoffrey Landgraabs Kompensator was worth only 2900 or something like that. Now if rich Sims continually replace their cars than it would make sense to just keep the cycle going but I don't know if they would do that.

I didn't realize that the price goes down that much.  Wonder why when you move into Lessons house, his cars are worth full value, that is 150,000 worth of cars and you steal them, they are not worth as much.

Stolen items are always worth less because they're...  well...  stolen.  Nobody in the real world could get full market value for a stolen car.  They have to take it across the border and sell it cheap or cut it up for scrap/parts.  And it makes sense.  Why would a consumer pay full market value for a stolen car when he can get a legitimate title on the car for the same price?

Ok, I am tired and I don't know what I am babbling about, makes sense, I should have known that, oh well.  LOL.  I have never stolen anything and tried to resell, so, maybe that is a good thing that I didn't know that.

Agreed. It's just that this LTW is really screwed up because full retail value is obviously what's used to determine how close you're getting to your 50k requirement of stolen goods. And then you're hit with a massive reduction in value if you want to sell. I'm not saying a stolen Bwan Speedster should be worth 85k. Of course, not. But, there needs to be parity between what you can expect an item to sell for and the value of that item in relation to how it's calculated for the LTW.

Not only that, but any object will be worth less invalue when a sim buy it and go out of buy mode. That should also count for NPC.
