Installing Supernatural did not help my gardening sim. At least the money trees work properly...

Cathy - is your gardening collection journal still blank?  Until that fixes itself, you're going to have a problem.  Angus has a blank page so all he does is weed while I have the last mortal wife doing the harvesting until I can get someone else to help with the gardening (ie slave child heir ages up).

I haven't installed supernatural yet (nor will I for some time  >:( ) but my bugged sim is now able to tend the garden... partially. She takes care of half the plants and then stops. It's better than nothing, I guess.

That's about the situation I'm in, Rica. I'm going to have Peter plant and fertilize and weed and tend the money trees, and Gen4 and future mortal spouses can harvest other crops (I think everyone else in the family right now has a blank plant journal). Or maybe I'll move an elder in for a little while... Fortunately you can harvest all you want without learning the gardening skill, although it's veeeeery slow. And after I've harvested about 70 more wine grapes I'll have enough stashed for some later person to do Vizard of Vine and I can pull out everything but the money trees without damaging anything but my pride - I keep forgetting you can affect baby gender with store-bought fruit...

Hi guys,
When I go to the Sims 3 website, the page where all the patches were listed has changed. Now I don't see a list with patches anymore, but just about all the possible ep's and sp's there are. Even when I change the language I still see that.
Does anyone of you know if there is a reason for that?
Problem? Don't panic! There is always a solution. You just have to find it  :D

I just looked it up and I think they're having page problems or something because I get the same page no matter what page I choose from that section.  Hopefully they are fixing it.  The patch notes are still available in the news section and you can find links to the patch via Crinrict's blog & SimsVIP if you need to update.

It's been down since yesterday. My guess is they must be updating some stuff in there, like CAW, CAP and all that.  :)

Thanks Ricalynn and Frey! Good to know it is not just me.

I am crossing my fingers for that too! And a new patch would be nice! :D

About the gifts, do we only gift/receive base game items in the surprise gift box? That makes the most sense, but it'd also be cool if we could get items from EPs providing the other person has those items as well. I've been gifted three Supernatural elixirs to try out and I don't even have Supernatural yet. :D I can't wait to see what they do!

For those of you who have also experienced the Mycelium bug; will it affect my plants? I know that presumably after a while they'll go back to Sprout, but will they continue to grow and bear fruit and veg as normal? I don't have Supernatural and I won't be getting it if that matters.

Oh, I had forgotten about the gardening bug! ::) I'm currently building and remodelling my Immortal Dynasty home so I haven't got my sims to actually garden yet, but all my cheese plants are in Mycelium state. The rest are fine.. I don't mind having to replant the cheese plants, just please let my life and death plants stay fine!! Have no clue about the whole having-to-micromanage-gardening thing because I really want to get this remodel done before I start playing.

The big problem I've had isn't even the micromanaging the garden. Whatever resets the bugged sim happens after the fruit is harvested, but before the plant is reset to Mature - it'll still say "Harvest" even though there's no longer any produce and no "Harvest" interaction on the plant, and it stays that way. As far as I can tell, if a sim with the bug harvests a plant, it can never be harvested again.

So will my plants continue to grow fine once the Mycelium stage is over? Because I started a new file after I installed the patch and every single plant has gone to Mycelium. ;_;

You probably won't know that answer until it gets closer to harvest time.

I've found a bug!

It happens in my DecaDynasty with my toddler, Muzy. Anyone who wants to interact with her has to first click on her to wake her up if she's asleep and if not, instead of just clicking "put Muzy in swing" or "toss in air" or something, I need to first click hold, wait for the parent or whoever it is to hold Muzy, and only then can I click the interaction without it cancelling itself. Now we need to micromanage raising children as well. Looking like this is going to be renamed the Micromanaging Patch. ::) Very annoying and inconvenient.
