Oh, I'm already enjoying these facial sliders  :D. I wish we got new sliders more often, just for the sake of it.

I didn't see this mentioned, so my apologies if someone did already mention it:

This patch brings a new fishing book, requiring skill level 7. Toads, Salamanders, and Beyond: A Guide to Magical Fishing

Yes I saw that!! I didn't buy it though because I was in a just-started family with no money.

I also had the food spoiling issue - the fridge didn't think anything bad was in it so I couldn't clear it out, but when a sim got a plate out it would be spoiled, so I've just been checking each plate until the tainted dishes were gone completely. I also noticed a couple of pathing issues last night but only very minor - when my horsewoman was running the jumping course, each loop had one point where she'd teleport back to the gate entering the oval and then gallop back in. I've had occasional Sim forgetfulness too, though it hasn't had a big impact. Forgetting a single action rather than a whole string of them, etc. I also noticed one family where they'd previously been to China and one of the Sims had fished up 10 each of Doitsu and Karamanawa Koi but it wasn't registering him, or anyone else, as having any fishing skill. Luckily none of this is actually affecting gameplay much.

Some of my sims seem to be flying instead of walking LOL, it's similar to the ghost's walk. It's kind of fun... and creepy.

I love the gift sending - anybody who wants one, friend me! (simone23)

Gardening has gone completely squiffy on me.  Sims will only harvest one plant, and then reset.

Do you mean like gifts to your Sim3 friends? Like Simporting? Man that does sound awesome. But that will just be another reason to get a zillion friend requests from random people.

Geez I am totally not knocking the advancement of technology and the internet superhighway but sometimes I long for when Sims was  not connected to the internet. Except the store. I do love going to the store.  :-\

I suppose you have to take the good with the annoying.

Sending you a friend request Simone! I'm PlatnumDymnd. And anyone can send me a request but let me know you're from the forum.

To move food out of the fridge, just click "open fridge" and then you can move all the prepared dishes directly from the fridge to the garbage.  That's what I did because I didn't want to have any more Sims getting sick!

Ok I have installed DS and ST. When turned game on it said I am required to have the patch in order to log on from my game. Has anyone else who has DS had this same message?

Yeah, but careful with that. That causes a bug where your sims will get the "dirty surroundings" moodlet out of nowhere. The dirty dishes kind of stay there floating in the air or something. I'm experiencing it now because I always cleaned up for my sims LOL. It's not a patch.related bug though, aparently it's always been like that.

This has happened to me as well. I have to harvest the plants one at a time.

Is this patch no longer available? I looked on the sims 3 website under game updates and there was no option for Patch 1.38...

It should be available through your launcher.  If you can't get it that way, SimsVIP and crinrict both have links to the patches.

It's on the home page and still in the updates for games when I go to the page.

Every time, there is a new patch, I have my SimSelf check things out. We have base game, WA and Ambitions only, but get affected by new updates all the time, and honestly, it's annoying. For example, when Pets came out, fish were invisible for ages.
I had the fridge problems, but it somehow reasserted itself.
As for gardening, some plants grow too quickly, and then, are reduced into size again. The normal growing time span for each plant seems to be the same so far. My Sim had no problem tending the garden. It just looked weird for a while.
I noticed that the cemetary is full of life. Ghosts no longer drive off in their little cars, but hang around and can make fishing more problematic. I have yet to try and make contact with any of them, i.e. see if they go poof.
The patch still has not restored bug-life to its full extent in my game. I'm a bit miffed about that. I hoped this patch would restore all insect spawners to its former glory... no luck so far.

I finally managed to patch my game, started a new game, but didn't really play enough to notice the bugs people have been talking about. Since several of them seem to occur because Supernatural is not installed, I might just hold off on playing until I get it (which, since I'm in Europe, won't be until thursday) :(

I do love the new CAS stuff though. I absolutely love the orange slider (which may not be new, I don't know) and the pleasant but rich gold color in the middle. Definitely using that.
