Teehee. :P Yeah, I meant I don't update often enough.

I still haven't patched, because I'm procrastinating sorting through my store content.. ;)

Have you tried resetting all the sims in your town?

Yeah, I reseted the whole world but it's as if the whole household had gotten a hidden absent minded trait  ::). It hadn't happened until today though so maybe re-loading the game will fix it. I will try that later.

But... I am still waiting for EA to update CAW. Why did they have to release the patch on a friday!? LOL, they usually update it in 1 or 2 days but it's obviously taking longer since I doubt the whole EA team is working over the weekend. I want to go back to creating my world!

I totally understand!

I was actually focussing on getting buttons for the achievements you can do, but now I cannot go online anymore while playing so I think it is not registering my achievements... Or is it? Will I get all the buttons later when I am online again? Or not, and will I have done it all for nothing and have to do it again?
Problem? Don't panic! There is always a solution. You just have to find it  :D

According to the guide there's some cache somewhere that records your achievements while you play offline:

Quote
There is a file in the folder with your PassportData.package file related to Achievements, but it only stores your off line achievements so your game will update your player profile the next time you're online.

You can read more here: http://www.carls-sims-3-guide.com/showtime/simport.php  :)

You're welcome!

Someone asked if anyone else had his genie's age reseted. Well, I just checked, and I do.

Ok, I've tried to get several achievements, but I get no message that I achieved them.
Also, I cannot go to my profile to see my achievements, because I have to be online for that and that is only possible after I have done the patch...
Hmmm... maybe I should do the patch then?... please advise!

Actually this type of post falls under the frivolous category.  We ask that if you're going to show pictures of your Sims, please do so in a story or one of the already open picture threads.  Because you were showing pictures of a Sim with the new skin sliders you could have placed them either under the Supernatural or Patch 1.38 threads.

I'm actually going to merge this with the Patch thread.

I just made a new sim and got bitten by a vampire. She's in the criminal career track, so obviously I'm trying to skill up athletic. First off, I thought vampires are not suppose to fatigue when exercise. That's been my experience thus far and my vampire is fatiguing. Secondly, she's gaining skill incredibly slow if at all! Is anyone else experiencing this?!

Remember that the patch just adjusted a lot of things for Vampires.  They are no longer the same vamps that we got in Late Night so maybe this is one of the changes but to me it sounds like a bug.

It's gotta be a bug because I tried learning charisma and she was learning it at an accelerated rate, which is normal for vampires. She's not a charismatic sim either. I've put in 10+ sim hours of trying to just get to level one athletic skill! Grr.     >:(

You got the athletic skill bug.  That's actually quite common.  I'm afraid you might have to restart that character.

Since the patch, I've found a bunch of spoiled food in the fridge.  I can't prove this was related to the patch, but the spoiled items had only been in the fridge a couple of days, and it's an expensive fridge so I wouldn't have expected things to spoil this quickly.  I didn't find out about the problem until after my poor Sims had eaten the spoiled food and gotten sick, so if you have leftovers you might want to check before your Sims eat them.

I've noticed that other people on the TheSims3.com forum boards are having the same issue. I recall having this issue after a patch a long time ago..I don't remember how it was solved, sadly.
