Thanks for the quotes Odie!  :) So I'm guessing that this bug is only really a problem for those wishing to use Gardening as a supermax or a career. It shouldn't have too much impact on that initial need for Life Fruit?

Hmm I eat my previpus words now. Mycelium plants seem stuck for me too. I will see if I get to adopt a unicorn to reset them to sprouts. It's not the end of the world since I'm just doing gardening for getting life fruit for ambrosia, but still, considering I will not be getting Supernatural until (at least) october... it could get quite annoying until then.

It's a good thing my gardening sim ripped out her garden just before I got the patch   ;D

I'm upset the patch didn't allow me to make genies in CAS though. Just edit them  ::)

Mycelium? Unicorns? Genies? Oh My. Yes I think I'm going to wait until the EP before installing the patch. I don't normally have issues when I run patches but I do garden a lot. So I'm a little hesitant.

Being able to edit them is a big step. I also wish they would have put the supernatural button in this patch, but there is bound to be another patch that has it.

Is anyone else unbelievably excited for the expansion pack after this patch? I've spend literally hours making sims that I can change into Supernaturals once the game is out! I've got storylines dancing in my head..It's like Christmas! I can't wait any longer!  :o ;D :o ;D

Alright, so I wasn't sure where else to put this. I'm playing just a fun game in sunset valley and my CAS sim, Sunshine Runningwolf has just had her first child with her husband, Mr Desirable, Christopher Steel. It was a little girl, yes I stuffed Sunshine full of watermelon, that I named Tulip and she is just so cute.

She is brave and loves the outdoors, her favourites are Seafoam, sushi and country music. She has her mom's skin colour, pointed ears and mouth, and her daddy's eye colour and hair colour.

I am Ashpie. I want a fairy sooooo bad. Actually the other thing I wish you could do in CAS is adjust height - I was thinking that when creating one sim who's supposed to be small and fierce, but it definitely applies for fairies too, you should be able to make them at least a little wee.

As for gardens - in mine, I get mycelium after the planted stage and then it continues as normal, harvests fine, etc. Tend Garden doesn't work for them to do more than one plant, but harvest and weed seem to. I haven't had the writing bug but looking at the explanation I assume that's because I haven't tried to write horror or poetry.

But how long does the mycelium stage last? Because my plants have been in that stage for 3 days now. Maybe it's just a long stage but I'm thinking they are stuck.

I'm so confused by all this information..? Trust the writing skill to be bugged as well when that's my current DecaDynasty supermax! And also trust the solution to be buying and installing Supernatural. ::) I haven't even bought Showtime yet!

I'll just need to backup and patch up, because I'm fed up and I'm already behind on my dynasties. I will be so angry if this mucks anything up.

Well, my gardening is working fine again. I used "resetSim *" and that somehow reseted the plants to sprouts so they are no longer stuck in Mycelium. I thought someone might find this useful  ;).

Some of my sims are randomly stopping to do do what I tell them to and they lose the interactions queue sometimes. None of them has the absent minded trait and this didn't happen before so I'm guessing it's related to the patch. It doesn't happen too often though, I can totally leave with it.

I have to say, even with the several issues...  I am liking this patch. My sims are no longer getting 104848439392 calls from their unwanted agent and I was able to set their celebrity points to 0 so that means no more paparazzis around. I also changed my genie's skin tone to purple  ;D. Plus, all these issues don't seem too bad for me, just some minor glitches. I've had other patches completely ruin my game and since this was such a big and important patch I was expecting it to be much worse. Of course that doesn't mean that other people aren't having major issues... but for me, it's fine.

I'm still too scared to click the button. :P I don't intend on playing about with the new sliders in actual games at all anyway, and I don't even care all that much about the celebrity points or the vampire infestation because I don't find it overly bad in my games, so it's almost as if the benefits aren't worth the trouble. Then again, I can't even play my dynasties. I suppose playing a bugged file is better than going without it? This is so very annoying. :(

My backups are just copying over, I'll play the just-for-fun file I have (Don't care about it being bugged) and report any problems when I get back. Patching only takes a few minutes for me, I always got a bit confused at those it took hours for. ???

That's because it depends on the internet speed you have. In Chile I have a nice bandwidth because daddy pays for ir  ;D and I can patch my game pretty fast, but here in Germany I am permanently broke (darn euros!) so I just have the cheapest bandwidth I could get and there are no words to describe it that can be written in this forum without breaking the rules LOL. This time it took me an hour and a half just to download the file.

Actually the other thing I wish you could do in CAS is adjust height

I completely agree! I have been thinking about that for a while now. It would make the game so much more complete if we could adjust the height of our sims. I'd love to make a tiny fairy or just a fat short guy ;) (could be a dwarf! LOL)

Some of my sims are randomly stopping to do do what I tell them to and they lose the interactions queue sometimes. None of them has the absent minded trait and this didn't happen before so I'm guessing it's related to the patch. It doesn't happen too often though, I can totally leave with it.

Have you tried resetting all the sims in your town?

I'll just need to backup and patch up, because I'm fed up

Backup, patch up, fed up LOL that's funny! ;D

and I'm already behind on my dynasties.

How can you be behind on your dynasties? Just relax and take all the time you need! Hope it all works well for you Fez!

Btw, I still think I am gonna wait until I have Supernatural (in about 3 weeks) or until the next patch (which will probably come earlier).
Problem? Don't panic! There is always a solution. You just have to find it  :D
