Ok well issues I've had are that in one game file there was this annoying clicking noise that was there from the start and my sims won't sleep in beds the action just gets cancelled.  I've tried every single bed and they just won't sleep or nap.  Thankfully they will sleep in the sleeping bags, it's my dynasty file so I think I can live with that until a new fix comes out.  The clicking noise resolved its self once I went to main menu and reloaded - hoped it would be the same for the bed issue but alas it was not!

In another file there were no issues (apart from when I first went into the game there was an issue with gardening, none of my plants where havestable, I had to wait a few days.

Now off to turn some Sims multi-coloured!

Me too. I saw it on MTS (I think) so I checked. The patch notes say only a few things have changed, but there's quite a bit of functionality in there. There's information on Alchemy, Traits, Werewolves, Fairies, and Whack-A-Supernatural (Oh EA humor!)

Have you tried deleting the beds and buying new ones? I had a similar bug after a previous patch (1.29 maybe) and that's how I solved it so maybe it will work again now.

I just knew this patch would ruin my dynasty.

Fingers crossed they do release another one at the release date of SN, I refuse to risk destroying it - Gardening's the worst part already, nevermind having it bugged!

I think it was Rica that said a few posts back that it only affects saves that existed before the patch? If so, would me patching up and then doing a factory reset mean the game treats all my saves as brand new and so they won't be affected?

Yep, I tried that didn't work   Went through every single bed too and only the sleeping bags would work.

So played about and created my Sim and I am so pleased with how she turned out, elf ears as well

Ugh, the game won't install the patch. When I first tried, it stopped halfway through because I ran out of disk space. I wonder if that somehow caused other problems, because whenever I try to do it now, I get an error message just as it's about to end. It's in Swedish, but directly translated it says:

"Update error: Confirmation error after patching"

No idea what that could mean. I've tried 6-7 times. Oh well, I guess I'll try again when I have Supernatural, maybe it'll magically fix itself. The patch looks great, though.

Fez, don't assume that gardening will be broken - the one file I've played since the patch was gardening-heavy, and there were a couple glitches, but once those passed everything worked normally. (People who are reporting gardening bugs - can I propose an experiment? Play through a full day and see if the next day's harvest is still broken...)

Well I thought that there was nothing majorly wrong with my gardening until I played through a few days and now I have to click on each individual plant!!  And it hasn't registered the perfect garden LTW, going to play through a few more sim days and see what happens hopefully it will right itself.

EDIT:  LTW Perfect Garden registered two days after.  Weed plant and fertilise garden seems to be working but Tend garden definitely still not working may invest in a harvester!

I actually was experiencing this clicking noise prior to the patch.  It was in one of my two current gameplay files, but now it's in both.  Glad to hear yours resolved!  I don't find it terribly annoying, it moves along with the clock as far as I can tell, but it would be nice to have to spontaneously disappear.

Could someone tell me if they have noticed this on there mailbox since patching up and if you have do you know what it is? It seems to be fireflys having a party in my mailbox

yes a fairy party     ... actually it is notice that someone has sent you an in game gift.  I am still not certain how the whole new gifting process works. -EQ

When you patch up, you'll get an elixir from EA. It has a small symbol in the lower left-hand corner, and you can give things with those symbols to your online friends. Apparently you can also buy surprise packages (presumably with Simpoints) to send to friends, but I haven't tried that yet.

In playing, I've been working with a test file. No problems with gardening, but the plants apparently have a Mycelium stage the day after they're planted. They then return to sprout, growing, etc.  My Sim has been able to harvest everything.

I thought there might be a problem with "Have Private Wedding," but the option came up the next day. Maybe Christopher Steel just wasn't in the mood. I was able to host a magician without any difficulty.

Edit: As far as I can tell, the Surprise gifts don't cost anything, either in Simpoints or Simoleons. The Sim that sends them gets 600 happiness points, so they might be banned from dynasties and challenges.
