As usual, going to back out of this for a few days and wait for news of The Dreaded Bugs to come in! That means no playing my dynasties, but it's worth it!! Very excited for all the new CAS features.

I'm not getting any trouble for now but I still made sure to back everything up. Well, except the CAW thing but that's allways so when a new patch comes out. I already downloaded it again but it's still not working, so I'm guessing EA hasn't updated the tool yet. One less distraction to finish my Animal Instincts Challenge I guess  .

Only thing I've noticed so far is the collapse identical patterns isn't working? Anyone else experiencing this? (Sidenote: Elf Ears! )

It seems to be quite a big patch.  Haven't gone back into the game yet, but @samoht04 can you easily change the skin colour?  I really want purple Sims lol (side note - Elf Ears are amazing, were they easy to do?)

What do you mean by easily? There are so many options available in CAS. For the Multicolour Skintone Slider there are two variations of bold and pale. There is also a turquoise, purple, black/white, orange/yellow.

I just noticed that my sims seem a little more stupid than usual. They are getting stuck in rooms and such more often, like when one sim stands by the door and the other can't come out etc, but also in the kitchen, the living room, the hall... and it's the same house they have been living in since I created them, and this didn't happen before.

But still.... no more celebrities in my game

Sorry I meant, like simple (how it was before you just click the colour and then moved the slide thingy to choose light to dark - if you know what I mean).  I'll have a look at it tomorrow (but yey for purple!!), I know that if I reopen the game now, I won't get to bed (I only just closed it at 11.30pm lol).

Yes, that's how the new sliders work. A couple of them are a little stranger, since they have many colors on the same slider. (Red->Pink->Purple->Blue->Green->Yellow->Orange->Red, all on the same slider. Purple has its own slider, too)

You mean I can now play a town without having to go all Buffy on the vampire invasion? Woo hoo! And the celebrity thing. Very nice. I have one Sim who is SPAMMED by the celebrity challenges every minute or so. Drives me nuts.

Collection Journal -- is that a new Skill Journal, exclusively for Collecting?

It has skill challenges, but I'm not sure if it has skill levels. (1-10 like other skills)

It resembles a skill journal, but it's found under the sim's inventory and not under the skills.  No, it doesn't appear to have levels.  It's just a consolidated notebook for rocks, gems, bugs, plants and fish.

Thanks for those posting what's contained in this update.  It would have taken me weeks to notice all this stuff.

I also have had a few weird routing choices.  She has to leave the kitchen to go back to the fridge?  Um, okay.  Also, all the leftovers in the fridge spoiled in an instant.  Weird, but not the end of the world.

Edit: Oh, I take that back about the end of the world.  I am having problems with gardening.  Nothing that's harvested goes into my sim's inventory.  Eek!
