Charles is a cutie! I <3 his hat. So adorable!
Thanks! I quite like the hat too.
I think you can tell that Charles and Skye will be quite beautiful kids... They're just so cute as toddlers!
Thank you! I can tell you this, Skye is very cute as a child!

Natalia and Damon make a great couple. Charles and Skye are very cute.
That glitch with the stadium is a real shame. Natalia had put so much effort in her job.
May I ask, if you are playing by legacy rules, and if so, which set of rules are you using?
I'm looking forward to your next update. :)

Thanks SimBlip. Natalia was only Level 2 since she had to take time off for the kids.

I'm playing with a very loose set of Pinstar's rules. I'm not scoring and there aren't any restrictions. I'm really playing this to experience all the different parts of sims I haven't played yet. Like Charles is a writer (spoiler) since I never really play writers.

Chapter 6: The Best Seller
Charles immediately went onto the computer we bought him and started writing a book called ‘A Great Blend.’ He spent many hours on it that day before we told him he needed a rest from the computer.

Damon and Skye have such a good relationship. Damon now has work less so he has more time to spend with the kids. Skye loves having him around and treasures every second. Damon is also getting closer to the top of his career. Soon he’ll be at work once a week!

Charles was forced onto the school bus for his first day. He begged to stay home and finish his book but there was no chance of that. He looked sad, gloomy and grim as the bus driver drove off with him stuck in his seat.

I took Skye out for a walk as I did with Charles. She enjoyed the breeze but hated when the road sloped down, or up.

I maxed cooking. I was very proud of myself. Damon and I have been racing to see who can max both of their skills. Damon keeps saying that cooking is easier than handiness but I can see the envy in him. I can also see he really wants to win! Maxing cooking also completed my lifetime wish of Culinary Librarian!

Charles is beginning to weird Damon and I out. He often is in his room talking or playing a game with someone but when we look in he’s the only person in the room. He says that Pearls gets a bit shy. Who is this Pearls!

Damon’s adult birthday surprised us all. We didn’t threw him a party but we did have a mighty fine cake to celebrate. I wish I could say I cooked it, but I didn’t. Damon reckons he could cook a cake. I’ll show him.

To celebrate becoming older, both Damon and I got a new everyday outfit. Damon stopped wearing his after a couple of days since it wasn’t his style. I love mine though.

I officially won our little challenge. When Damon maxed athletic he thought he was coming back, but on that same day, I maxed Athletic too! Damon didn’t speak to me until Skye’s birthday out of shame.

Charles completed his first book and believe it or not, it was a best seller! I don’t understand how a first book could be a best seller but I am so proud of Charles. He got extra ice cream after dinner for that.

Damon finally maxed his second skill of Handiness and in the photo, is wearing his career outfit. He is Level 9 and I think he will reach the top very very soon. I’m kind of excited.

When Skye’s birthday rolls around we set up another cake and get ready. We have soo much cake in the fridge I don’t need to cook ever again. She was attacked by a claw before I took her to the cake.

Doesn’t she look beautiful!

Next Time: Dates, at least three

Author’s Note: I apologise for this taking so long to come out. I just have been playing more than writing recently. Hopefully the next update will come sooner than this one did!

Natalia did so well to complete her lifetime wish AND max the athletic skill before Damon did. Trust him to say that cooking is easier than handiness. He looks very handsome in his uniform.
Congratulations to Charles for writing his first book and best-seller in one!
Happy birthday, Skye! She is very pretty.
Lovely chapter! :)

Thanks SimBlip! I was really surprised when Charles got a best seller. He wasn't even a high writing level. If you think Skye is pretty now, you should see her when she becomes a teen.
Natalia and Damon actually were neck and neck with their skills for most of the time. I had no idea who would max both first.

Chapter 7: The Dating Times
Skye’s bedroom was way too small to fit in a bed so we built an extension to fit in her new furniture. She loves her room.

Since Skye had the day off from school, she came to the park with Damon and I. A Simfest was being held and while Damon and I watched the performers, Skye played a game on her MultiTab.

Damon and I went on a date to the Slurred Speakeasy. There we played a nice long game of shuffleboard with the ever famous, Melissa Dreamer! We were very excited especially when she asked Damon for an autograph! I didn’t think Damon was that much of a celebrity!

Each night we try to eat as a family but usually when someone finishes eating, another just starts and with Damon sometimes having night shifts, the kids think they can eat whenever. Breakfast is just as bad. I think something needs to be sorted out.

Skye somehow built a sandcastle in front of the car. It would make sense if the car was at the beach but the car was at our house and our house has no sand! It’s all grassy. Skye said grass can be turned to sand with a magical spell but my daughter is not a witch.

Skye wasn’t too happy about her first day of school. Charles wasn’t too happy that Skye sat next to him on the bus. They both weren’t happy when they saw that their bus driver looked as if she had never learnt to drive. They were both very happy when they arrived to school as they got away from the crazy driver.

Damon maxed his career. He has become an Astronaut. Now he only works once a week but he works from 7 am to 1 am the next day. It means that we can now spend more time together on dates and less time away from eachother.

Damon took me out for dinner to celebrate his promotion and our love. The food was delicious and afterwards he took me out to Brownstead and Lowry’s for a quick hot tub session. So beautiful.

Soon our little boy’s childhood had to end. We were sad that it meant that he was getting older which meant Damon and I were nearing elder hood. Worse still was that he would probably find love as a teen. Hopefully there are no teenagers in town for him to date!

Look at him! He’s all grown up!

Next Time: Major Changes

Author’s Note: I am so sorry that I haven’t updated this in a while but I have been putting most of my time to my Life States Dynasty. Hopefully the next update will come sooner than this one did!

I enjoyed reading your story, Gogowars. I like your sense of style when it comes to clothes (especially the hats!), the floor plans and your decorations.

Congratulations to Damon for maxing his career. He will have a lot of time for his family now.
I find family meals difficult too. The Sims eat so fast, and don't wait for others to finish.
Charles is a handsome teen. He'll turn a few heads alright! :)

Thank you Deklitch! This house has been one of my favourites. Most of the time when I am creating my Sims clothes I just pick something that suits the Sim and change to match their favourite colour.

Thanks SimBlip. Damon has actually mean my first sim to max the Military Career. I rarely ever do that career. Charles' new trait probably means he'll be turning heads.

So everyone knows, I update the second post everytime a new trait is added to a sim, their lifetime wish is revealed or if they have become the heir.

Chapter 8: A New Living
Charles may now be older, but his writing won’t stop. Charles spends an hour each night after homework writing his book. Once Damon stood behind him for 10 minutes and Charles didn’t even notice until he had to get up and grab something to eat.

Skye has a very free childhood. She says she wants a horse and to become a rider but she knows it’s too dangerous until she is a teen so she keeps herself occupied. Meet Princess Skye.
‘You, stop your whining and get me my dinner. I’m starving. No no no! I don’t want salad! I want pasta!’

She has also been pranking. Charles has been really the only one to get hit by her pranks so I’ve starting to think that there is something going on between Skye and Charles.

I keep my cooking skills high and cook a meal nearly every day. I also watch the cooking channel and read cookbooks to further expand the skill.

Damon plays catch the peashooter every so often to keep the peashooter sharp we haven’t had a zombie attack yet but Charles actually wants to see them! Wait until he finds out that they aren’t like the ones from the movies!

Skye had her ballet recital and a trophy for her hard work. She’s very happy with her work and rewarded herself with extra ice cream and another successful prank.

Damon gave Charles a lesson on how to be fit. Charles was panting back to his bedroom after his worked him to tears. Both men slept very well that night.

The whole family were up very early one morning for a few different reasons. Damon was training Charles again, Skye had organised a tea party for her teddies and I had to wait as someone arrived. I stepped out and looked at the barn that was built during the night.

The car pulled up and out hopped a horse and a person. I straight away rubbed the horse’s soft neck and called Skye out.

Skye was very happy to finally have the horse she was begging for. She named it Giddy, as in Giddy-Up! She also wants a rocking horse now but I doubt that will happen.

Damon, Charles and I went down to Fair Ri Forest. Skye stayed home to spend time with Giddy. I made us some food to eat while Damon relaxed in the sun.

Charles on the other hand was asking Jaimee Cado Sead to Prom. She was very happy and said yes but I would’ve preferred it if Charles went solo. My little boy is growing up.

We had recently gotten enough money for a renovation and thought it was time for one. The house is now double story, has a backyard area and a front porch.

Damon got working right away on upgrading everything. The only downside other than Damon having to upgrade everything is that the kitchen has become smaller but really, I’ll be spending much less time in there and more in the new hot tub!

Charles returned that night from Prom a King. He also got a very cute photo of him with Jaimee, his girlfriend. His biggest surprise of the night was actually the new house. Someone should’ve told him.

It wasn’t long after that that Skye was going to become a teen. Damon and I were full of tears from waking up so early and our daughter growing up. Wish us luck with two teenagers and pray for minimal mood swings.

She’s just stunning.

The first thing she does is go out for a ride on Giddy. Children grow up way too fast.

Next Time: At least one birthday like every other chapter.

I've read quite a few lines from kids' role-playing, but Princess Skye has just issued the most original one! I'm still hiccuping from laughter.  ;D
Giddy... for a minute I thought, giddy with mirth. Giddy-up makes a lot more sense!
The house looks fab. I love those big windows.
Jaimee... Will Charles introduce us soon? :)

Thanks SimBlip. Charles may or may not introduce you, probably not. I tried to do a different style of house that I am used to. Glad you like it. Skye knows that she is royalty so why not enjoy it!

At this point in game, lots have been bulldozed, lost car spots and some lots were added (but that was before) to reduce lag. All the demolished lots were empty residential except for the Internet Cafe. As much as I loved it, it had to go because it was an unnecessary lot. I am also planning on moving the family to a new town once the heir becomes a YA. I have narrowed it down to two towns the family can move to. Appaloosa Plains or Twinbrook. It would be much appreciated if everyone could either post on this thread or PM me what town they would like the Saforias to move to. Thanks!

As much as I love Twinbrook, I think Appaloosa Plains would suit your Sims the most. I adore Skye's new outfits, by the way.  :)
