Mr Payne's Visit

Mr Payne decides to pay a surprise visit to the Treatment Centre to see how Sstarr and Incubus are getting on.

Mr Payne:  So I hear your first group of patients did very well.  How are you finding things? 
Ssttarr:  They were a lot of fun!  You should have seen Emily in her bunny suit - she was so cute!



Ssttarr continues:  We've had inquiries about providing treatment for teenagers, you know.
Mr Payne:  What do you think of that?
Ssttarr:  I don't know.  It's hard to keep up with everything while I'm working at the Science Centre, and the teens wouldn't have much time to help with chores.
Mr Payne:  Yes, I see.  You'll need to have help.  Go ahead and advertise for an assistant.  How's Incubus working out?



Ssttarr:  Oh, everybody loves him.  I just wish I knew what to do about his talking.  When people hear him talking, it makes them think they're crazier than they really are!
Mr Payne:  Yes, he is a chatty little fellow.  Quite opinionated.  It's part of his charm, really.  But now that Supernatural has been released, you can just tell everyone that it's some sort of top-secret magic.  Which it is, really.  Problem solved.
Ssttarr:  But I can't do that!  Schipperke hasn't gotten around to installing Supernatural yet!
Mr Payne:  Hmm ... you're right.  I remember hearing that UPS lost the game or something and it was delayed.  But it should have been installed by now!  I see I'll have to do something about this.
Ssttarr:  Do something?  But what can you do?  Schipperke lives in Dimension H, and we Sims have no way to influence them!



Mr Payne:  Don't you remember that James and Moth Douglas managed to find a way to travel to Dimension H?*
Ssttarr:  But I thought that secret had been lost after the Douglases disappeared following the great meterorite disaster?  And besides, aren't the Dimension H inhabitants a bit - well, a bit dim-witted?  Do you mean you can really communicate with them?
Mr Payne:  They don't seem to be capable of learning more than a few words of our language, but that doesn't matter.  I can fix it.  Leave it to me.



Late that night, somewhere in Dimension H, a writer sits hunched over her computer.



The dogs are going to bed and it's time for her to sleep too.  Suddenly, from nowhere, a thought comes into her head, insistent and unrelenting - Time to Install Supernatural!  Right Now! 



The writer feels strangely compelled to follow through.  Soon Supernatural is installed and the sleepy writer can finally go to bed.  She never noticed the figure in grey standing behind her.  He appeared and disappeared again without a trace.

Great!  You can submit him any time.  It will be several days to a week before we're ready for the new admissions, but there's no reason people can't start making referrals. 

We have space for 5 referrals this time.  This will be a mixed group - teens and above, and I'd like to have at least 2 in each age group (eg, 2 teens, 3 YA & above).  Please check the referral guidelines as they have been updated.  I think it's better to have a fixed time period for the treatment rather than leaving it open-ended, so this program will be 2 weeks long.  Also please note the special terms for referring teenagers - they must receive care packages every week.  This is to help them not feel cut off from their families while they're in treatment.  Actually, it would be nice for all residents to get care packages, but I'm making it mandatory for teens.  Anything you want to send, PM me and if it can be done, it will.  You can send your care package any time but I think Friday after school is probably when the care packages will be given out.

I've actually been training a therapist for a few weeks now, so the advertisement is really just a story device, not actually looking for applicants.  But I wish I had thought of asking people to submit applications - it would have been a lot of fun!  However, at this point I've put quite a bit of work into my trainee and do want to use him, at least for now.  Maybe in future we could think of having people submit applicants for another position.
