Hey Schip, I finally took some time out to check on Trisha, and her inventory is empty! Could there be a reason for this strange happening? I am told by a little bird that there should be a book in there...

I think, off the top of my head, that Emily has two books in her inventory, as well as a bunch of paintings, sketches, miscellaneous books, and some of the items she left with (but I believe her MultiTab is missing ;D ).

No book in Trisha's inventory?  Oh, that's disappointing!  There should be a special book in each Sim's inventory, written with their special needs in mind.  Sweetest pea, would you mind checking the inventories of the other Sims in the group and seeing if the book in question might be there?  You'll know from the title which one it is.   ;)

Seabody, I'm sorry about the MultiTab.  I had a bit of trouble figuring out how to get the Sims uploaded with the correct inventory items, and it seems the system I finally came up with was faulty.  Or maybe somebody stole Emily's MultiTab as she was travelling?  Nah, it's more likely my fault.

To the Case Managers whose Sims are waiting to enter treatment, I want to apologize for the delay.  There have been a few issues to work out with the new computer (the shop went and filled up the solid-state drive with Windows stuff, leaving no room for Sims, when the main reason for the solid state drive was for my Sims!); there have also been problems installing SN, but (touch wood) things have finally been sorted out and we're ready to roll.  I expect the new group to arrive at the Treatment Centre later this week.  If you've referred a teenager, please keep in mind that they will need to receive care packages every week (and it would be nice if the adult Sims got care packages as well).  Please review the guidelines for care packages at the beginning of the thread and let me know if you have any questions.  Care packages can be "sent" at any time, and they will be distributed to the Sims on Friday after school.  To send a care package, PM me and let me know what you want your Sim to receive - maybe include a little note from home with the care package, if you like.

Preparing for Group Two

Simgund, Ssttarr and Incubus have a few days off while they await the new admissions.  Simgund accepts the offered position and takes off his hat and jacket.

Ssttarr also got new clothes but I'll leave it up to her to show them to you in her own time.  As you know, Insane Sims have their own ideas about appropriate clothing, and I wouldn't presume to tell Ssttarr what to wear.  Both she and Simgund are hard at work upgrading the plumbing.

Ssttarr and Judy Bunch met in the park to discuss Arlo's needs.  Judy also passed on a care package for Arlo from the whole family.

And Incubus?  What has he been doing?  His favourite activity - chasing his ball.

We're ready for the new admissions to arrive on Friday afternoon (Sim time).  The only one so far to have a care package waiting for them is Arlo.  I don't want to start without the care packages, so you other Case Managers - please let me know what you want your Sim to get for their first care package!

I absolutely adore the Computer idea.  I stayed up even later to read all of this one, after staying up to read the Riches to Rags!

So true! Also Audren, I just finished reading your Mole story, and loved it! I love how you and Schipperke both work in bits from other stories on the forum. It helps me get more familiar with the forum and its members. There are so many stories here I wouldn't know where to start otherwise. I think the next story (besides this one of course) I'll read is the Forum Sims Grab Bag. I just wish I'd found this forum sooner. :)

I just sent off Karin's first care package. Can't wait to see the next chapter!

Thank you everyone for the lovely care packages!  Now they're all here, we can welcome the new admissions.  And from what I've seen of them, I think they're going to be a very interesting group!  I hope to have the next update ready in the next couple of days.

By the way, I just wanted to toss out an idea or two for the next group to see what you think of it.  Of course, this won't be until the group just coming in is finished their two-week program, but if you're interested we could start planning.

One suggestion made by a reader (sorry, I don't remember who) awhile back was for a week-long retreat for workaholics.  I think that could be a lot of fun and give Ssttarr and the rest of us a change of pace.

Another idea that's been going through my head is to have a Simlympics, where Sims could come from various towns to compete in Martial Arts, Wall climbing, and anything else we can think of for them to compete in.  I think that would be fun too.  So let me know if you're interested in either of these options (or something else) after the upcoming group.

Is that suggestion in relation to one of the other ideas?  Workaholics, athletes, or our usual Insane groups?

Usual Insane groups, which would mean they would be Insane, Neurotic, Neat, and two more traits for personality. It would lead to a lot of hand-washing, laundry doing, floor mopping, and freaking out.

Makes me think of Le Freak:

AAAH FREAK OUT!

Heh heh.  I think Simgund would definitely have his work cut out for him with all those Neurotic Sims!  Actually, I quite like playing Neurotics as they can pick up a lot of happiness points just for cleaning dishes and other things.

I like both of those ideas, particularly the Simlympics! (When did we get Wall-Climbing, though? Store Content?)
