Did anyone notice that the Sims can now have a Job in teaching!? I was so excited when I discovered that! I mean I know you can't go to work with the Sim but I was excited anyway! :)

Amanda, welcome to the forums. That's really cool. I did not know that. So, I'm assuming this is available after a Sim becomes eligible to tutor (level 5 Logic)?

You're kidding? That's amazing. I had not heard anything about an Educator career. I'm going to kick myself if there's a new LTW for it and it's on the Guide.

Haha thanks!  :) I  was going to ask you how you knew I was new but then I happened to notice underneath my name was the word newbie and that that was my first post! :)

Ok now this is awesomely interesting to me. does anyone know any specifics yet? I really want my favorite Sim child to be a teacher, do i have to have the ambitions or is this new to the base game?

Oh I am sorry, I am now very excited. Almost like a bunny rabbit in the spring :)

Eagerly awaits further information.

I'm not sure if it's part of Ambitions or maybe the latest patch adds it to the base game. If you're up to date with all patches and updates, click on the school and see if there's an option to join the Educator career.

I posted about the teaching career a while back on one of the Ambitions pages but don't remember which. Anyways all I know is it requires Logic and Charisma (I believe those were the two).

I just started my sim out in the teaching career.  First level is a teachers aid.  Has the name of the school always been School for the Gifted?  I guess I never paid attention to that before, at first, I thought it was a new school.

Right now my Sim is an Assistant Principal! And the 4 things you need to have to be able to advance is mood, logic, charisma and lectures

In Sunset Valley, yes, in Riverview, I know it's another name, in Twinsbrook, I'm honestly not sure for the fact that I've only had the game for about a day and have stuck purely to a young adult firefighter with no need to go near the school building (not even for an emergency)

True.  It's named something else in Twinbrook.  Something like Stary Community School.

It seems like EA messed up when making the school in Twinbrook. On the tags in map view, it's called Stary School, put if you click on the gate or the fence in back of he school, it will say "Visit Westlake School. Anyone else noticed that?
