Sim quit job on his own

I was playing my dynasty family and sent my founder to explore the catacombs when it popped up that Zane has quit his job in science and took a job in music. I didn't get any message about changing careers and he had already maxed the science career awhile ago.

Has this happened to anyone else? I know they have free will but one minute he is entering the catacombs and the next he had a job change.

I haven't heard of that one, but my Sim almost never explores the catacombs.  Could be it's just one of the things that can happen down there.

I've tried this, also with my dynasty family, but it was after she gave birth. She jumped from the cooking career to the police career. It was really annoying because she hadn't maxed it yet. Luckily she made it in time!

When my sims have nothing to do I send them to the catacombs to see what they bring back and this is the first time a sim changed jobs on me.

It is annoying and when he went back to the science career he started back at level 5 so he has to work his way up again.  He had already reached immortal status so it didn't hurt but it was just weird.
