Question on placing columns

Hi!

I'm probably too optimistic but... is it possible to place half columns in the game? I mean, like a column going between ground level and a house instead of a foundation. I know the game doesn't allow it but I thought maybe someone had a trick to do it.  There are so many tricks for placing stairs and other stuff that I thought I might be lucky  .

I know you can just remove the foundation and leave the ones in the corners, but the house I'm building is pretty small and it looks terribly unproportionate.
