New EA lots automatically placing in other towns.

Not that I am complaining because it saves me doing it,but,when I load up a new Sunset Valley,Twinbrook or Riverview game all the new Showtime and Katy Perry lots get placed for me. I have read other people posting that they have to place lots before starting a dynasty game but I never have.
I used to have to place late night lots but even they just show up in my towns automatically now,well except for the film studios.So is this normal for everyone else.

 Store bought towns such as Lunar Lakes and Hidden Springs I have to place lots though.

I find that Ambitions and Showtime Lots place automatically but not for any other EPs or SPs. I don't have KPST though so I can't tell you about that one.

Perhaps it is something has happened since Showtime came out. It was just freaky to load up my twinbrook game and find Juan Darer at the Katy Perry pool.

I've had Ambitions, Showtime, and some Pets lots (mainly, the Equistrian center) automatically added to new towns, but not any from Late Night or Generations. This has happened for me since I got Ambitions back when it came out.

I also get lots placed. The Equestrian Center, Katty Perry and some from Showtime as well.

Katy Perry's lots are the first Stuff Pack lots I've ever had autopopulate into an EA town which is annoying but I've been having Ambitions lots showing in new games ever since Late Night came out.  The only place I don't see Ambitions stuff automatically is Lucky Palms and Lunar Lakes.  Hidden Springs does one or two of them as I always seem to find the junkyard across from the dynasty lot.

Because my dislike for Katy Perry burns strong, I don't have anything Katy Perry in my game. I do have all of the Expansion Packs.

I created a new Hidden Springs file maybe two days ago. I got all of the Ambitions lots, all of the Showtime lots, and none of the Pets lots.
I created a new Bridgeport file maybe four days ago. I got all of the Ambitions lots, none of the Showtime lots, and all of the Pets lots.

I find your percentages off and it's probably because you're basing them off two games you started in the last week in only two towns. From what I can tell it all depends on how much room the town has at the beginning of the game.  Some towns have a lot (SV & AP) while others don't have as many (BP & TB).  It also depends on how many of the Expansions and Stuff Packs you have I would think.  Obviously, you're not going to get a Katy Perry park if you don't have Sweet Treats. 

Ambitions lots include: Fire Station, Consignment Shop, Salon & Tattoo Parlor, Junkyard and Laundromat. 
         I have never had a laundromat spawn in a fresh world.
Pets lots include: Equestrian Center, Horse Ranch, Dog Park and Cat Park.
         I have never had a horse ranch, dog park or cat park spawn in a fresh world.
Showtime lots include: Live Venue, Coffeehouse, Private Venue, Big Park w/ stage and Big Show Venue.
         I have never had a Big Show Venue spawn in a fresh world.
Katy Perry lots include a Park, pool and a hangout. 
         I've only ever seen the park spawn in a fresh world but that could be because I have so many lots to choose from to place.

I just started two games in each town and got the same lots placed each time. I have every town as well as every EP/SP currently available.  My results were the following:

Appaloosa Plains spawned all the Pets lots (harhar ), all of the ambitions lots except laundromat (as it's supposed to due to programming if you have the EP), 1 Katy Perry park and three showtime lots.  Before I got Sweet Treats, I would get all but the big show venue from showtime.  The bar in town is a dive bar if you have LN or a hangout if you don't.
Barnacle Bay spawned most of the ambitions lots, two showtime lots and 1 katy perry park.
Bridgeport only has 2 lots available at the beginning and mine were for 1 Showtime Lot & 1 Katy Perry lot.  The town comes with the Ambitions lots automatically because that's the way it was programmed.  (Execution how did you get all the Pets lots without changing the town yourself?)
Hidden Springs spawned most of the ambitions lots, most of the showtime lots and 1 katy perry park.
Lucky Palms didn't spawn any lots not even it's own casino but I think it may have been programmed this way based on the live chat given by developers before it came out.  This could possibly change with the next patch to come (Supernatural release).
Lunar Lakes didn't spawn any lots and in my opinion it was probably programmed that way because none of them would match the town.
Riverview spawned most of the ambitions lots, some of the showtime lots, a katy perry park and the equestrian center.
Starlight Shores spawned all the showtime lots (I crack myself up), most of the ambitions lots and the equestrian center.
Sunset Valley spawned most of the Showtime Lots, Katy Perry park, most Ambitions lots and the equestrian center.
Twinbrook spawned 1 Katy Perry Park, 1 Showtime lot and the equestrian center.  Oh and Ambitions lots (harhar )

I'd like to point out that your original post with the percentage of lots placed came across as if you knew this information as absolute fact, when in reality, it was the result of your personal tests with a few worlds.  It would be helpful if you would give that information up front with the statistics because it's important to know the source of information.  You might not be challenged as much about your information, either.

You're both analysing different things in my view. Rica is seeing which lots are placed in which towns, and Execution is seeing in which order they get placed. I find that Rica's results are very similar to what I see in my towns - minus the KP Lots. Executions results do appear to be the order the game puts them down.

Okay, now I'm confused. They get placed in an order?

I assume that the script that places them does assign priorities and if, say, a 60x60 slot is taken by a Showtime lot, your Equestrian Center won't get placed.

Yeah, alright. My previous statistics were wrong. We're all wrong sometimes when we make an estimate.

As far as I can tell - if you have a 30 x 30 lot open and you have Sweet Treats, expect there to be a Katy Perry Park down.  If you have Sweet Treats and Showtime, only expect to see the KPST park and no the park from Showtime.   Equestrian Center only seems to get placed in certain towns.  Ambition lots except for Laundromat seem to be placed as the first priority.

I made notes about the ones that I never see from the list of lots.  Has anyone ever actually had a laundromat, dog park, cat park, horse ranch or Big Show Venue actually appear in their game?
