Playing for Tips in Lucky Palms

Has anyone found a good place to play for tips in Lucky Palms?  I've been to the usual places like the bookstore and theater, but I'm having very little luck.

I basically have resorted to reading the paper every morning to figure out the Hotspots of the day.  Then I move to the hotspots because they usually have a few people milling about.

For Late Night owners, you can go into edit town and plop a Subway on a community lot and play there. The subways are found under the community lot objects. I'm not sure if you need two for them to function, but you can still try.
