Household not copying

I'm trying to move my household from Bridgeport to one of the newer neighborhoods, but every time I try to copy them to clipboard, it processes, and then goes back to the Edit Town view without putting the family into my clipboard.  I've checked in the new neighborhood, and they definitely aren't in the clipboard.  The original version of them is there, same last name and all, and I'm wondering if that's some sort of 'can't have two of the same name' kind of conflict.

It copied another household without any issues.

Well, I tried evicting my sims from the household and I was able to copy them that way... I hope it doesn't screw up my Bridgeport saved game if the new one doesn't work.
