Sims can't leave their home to go anywhere [SOLVED]

Suddenly my Sims can't leave their home to go anywhere. Not even to work. I'll try to click on their destination or use the car to go somewhere and this is what happens:



They are able to go downstairs using the elevator but they can't leave to any community lot or work. Can someone please help me.

Welcome to our Forum.

Have you tried resetting your Sim(s)?  It looks like there's a pathing issue somewhere.  Is it an apartment that came with Bridgeport or did you build it?  I'm wondering if something is just in the way of the Sim somewhere.

This is something that we'll probably have to go step-by-step until we figure out exactly what's wrong.  There are some very knowledgeable folks here and I'm sure someone else will be along shortly.

Also, I'm going to move this to the Miscellaneous Help board because I don't think it's a a game mechanics issue, which is what the Technical Help board deals with.

It may be an elevator issue, they are notorius for their glitches.  I fix mine by turning move objects on, then deleting the old elevator, and replacing it with a new one.  This solves the problem until the elevator breaks again, which will probably happen eventually.

The problem was with the door.  I had to replace the door on the first floor.  It worked for me.  Thank you for the help!

I just had this very problem except it wasn't an apartment. Just a residential lot with a house on it and even with my sim outside she still stomped her feet complaining as if something was in the way.

The gate was locked to everyone but my household so that shouldn't have been a problem. I even removed the gate and that section of fence and that didn't work either.

What did work was going into build mode and Control-Shift-clicking on the front edge of the lot and click Set New Front of Lot and that fixed the problem.

This is happening to me!

Ive tried resetting everything to do with my game. The only way my sims leave their house is if i knock down a wall on the front of the lot. Has there been any update on why its doing this or a way to stop it? Very frustrating!

I'm thinking it may just be a game glitch. If you've tried resetting your sims and that didn't work another thing you could try is evicting the household and then moving them back in.
