Thank you for the link, the screenshots were amazing. I nearly drooled over the 232 pictures that the link to Facebook has, but I wonder why the ocean is yellow in picture 88?

I was able to use google translate on the page (resulting in some hilarious translations!) and the caption for that pic said "The sea was pretty muddy during rain". My Sims won't be swimming in it, whatever it is!

Wow, everything looks amazing. I normally don't like snow, but it's gorgeous enough I might play one winter lol.

One thing really bothers me. My game was fine and dandy until I installed Pets, which made my chipset graphic card go out. I have since than replaced it and my animals are adorable, but I'm really worried how my new GC will handle the new weather? I really can't afford to keep buying GC's!

I read one of the question and answer things where someone asked this exact question.  The reply was that they were not upping their graphics requirements at all for Seasons. :)

Heh, at least you got proper fuzzy animals without turning on advanced rendering, my pets are fat and fluffy without looking fuzzy now....and collars are lost in the poof.

Weather effects will work like aging and population controls do now.   You make one choice and it will count for every save file within that Sims 3 folder unless you manually change it.  So if you want some weather in Sunlit Tides but want all in Sunset Valley - you'll have to change it every time you go into either of those games.
According to what has been said, it's per save file, not all of them at once.
We are of peace, always but this is war.
We are of peace, always.
We'll help build a resistance. We have to fight.

When all you've ever loved has been stolen from you, sometimes all you have left is revenge.
For the truly wronged, satisfaction can be found in one of two places,  absolute forgiveness or mortal vindication. This is not a story about forgiveness. When deception cuts this deep, someone has to pay.

Show me where they said that and I'll admit to being wrong. According to all the photos and pictures I've looked at it & articles I've read, the way to control the weather is through the options panel which is done for the entire Sims 3 folder just like population controls and aging like I said before.   Nothing in the Sims is saved for 1 save file only except for Story Progression and Sims.   Everything else is shared throughout the entire folder and I don't see them coming up with a new system this late in the game just to give individualized attention per save file for one aspect.

Show me where they said that

I remember too that the weather settings are per save and not general as usual. Here is the explanation of Graham Nardone:

.@SeventhPlumbob The new Seasons settings that work on a per-save basis are actually the first of that type in the game; we created new tech to support it, which came after the new population controls were implemented. I love the flexibility it provides for certain options - perhaps it's something we can do for more options in the future. It's great to hear feedback on that type of stuff. RT @SeventhPlumbob @SimGuruGraham You seem to be answering tough questions. I know you aren't with the SN team but why are the population settings global?

The per save system is completely unusual, although really welcome. It took them 3 years to discover that "new tech" but better late than never! And indeed, it's a good thing Seasons is released really soon, because I'm not sure I could wait much much longer ;-)

Thank you, Nicole. Yes, Google Translate can be a bit weird at times.  ;)

It's an integrated graphics card so it's non-replaceable unless I replace my laptop.
I pre-ordered on the second and I can't wait either~

:'( Mine was an integrated one too, but I have a desktop so it was easy to replace.

I can't wait, everything looks so awesome! I never played 1 or 2 so I don't know about alien abductions, but it sounds awesome. Never had a pregnant male sim before!!  ;D

So I watched the live chat, and I noticed that there were two female hairs. One is a messy, wavy do that is really soft and natural looking, but with all the effort they've been putting into making some really nice store hairs recently, why is the other one a de-accessorized version of the curly hair with flowers from Sweet Treats? I can see what they were trying to do with it, but it's too rigid and blocky to look good with the rest of EA's hairs. Heck, there are better hairs from Sweet Treats to "unsweeten" (like the cute hair with the ice cream hat, or the cute pigtails with the cookie beret).

Though I can hardly complain about this pack and having one not-so-great hair isn't a deal-breaker, it bugs me. Winter looks gorgeous, and I can't wait for Moonlight Falls to receive its first snowfall. Even Twinbrook might get in on the wintery action.

If you have sweet treats, all you have to do with the beret is colour it all one colour, 'chocolate chunks' and all, and you have a perfectly serviceable beret.
