I have my own gripe about the patch - I think it ruined my game forever. :(

I can't marry Sims properly. They exchange rings but the option to merge the Sims into a family doesn't show and the person I marry to doesn't change his or her last name! They still live apart and the spouse isn't added to the family. It's like they are still engaged. WHAT?!?!?  >:(

It ruined any hope of a legacy, I'm stuck playing rules that make it so the heirs are female and get pregnant out of wedlock because their husbands still live as uncontrollable characters. Also, my married Sim was asked on a date by Dallas Shallow and I keep getting the carpool pop-up even when my Sim is on maternity leave!

This is the worst patch yet, and I blame the attraction system. The game's marriage procedure is broken due to the fact that everyone wants to make out with my Sim because she's attractive. I understand that it's to be compatible with Love Day and all that, but come on! :(

It's not going to ruin my experience, I will reinstall Supernatural and get the Weather Stone, but marriage? Forget it. I'll have to do 100-baby challenges or stupid adoption legacies to keep the family going. I'm sorry I ranted, but my game was doing well until this bug hit my game. I even uninstalled and reinstalled just the base game and the update still curses me with the broken marriage bug. Has anyone else experienced this?
I play The Sims 4 for fun, so I don't care if I never end up being interviewed for the Dynasty Hall of Fame; people who play for keeps burn out too easily and don't enjoy playing the games, so I am going to not sweat the details.

I'm not sure on the specifics, but there are workarounds. For instance - was it a Private Wedding (sim > Romantic > Have Private Wedding) or a wedding via the Wedding Arch? Whichever it was, try the opposite. :)

I think Rica tested that and it still didn't work.

Etna, that weddin bug is hitting everyone right now. Have you tried going under friendly and moving the spouse in first and then marrying them? You might have to re-name the spouse but then the spouse would live with you.

As I was just testing the patch features I used testing cheats add to active family after the wedding then went to city hall to change the name, but no good for a challenge.

Being asked on a date is quite nice I felt but it doesn't seem to work, or at least didn't for me, I got asked on a date by Dallas Shallow as well, which was fine as he was her boyfriend, now husband, but when they met up I expected it to group them on a date, it didn't. Also they really should have put a check for if sims are married, he has had two date calls from Fatima Simovitch and she's had one from his dad Tom.

Attraction and inappropriate sims might be tricky, when my sim first met Tom Shallow the hearts flew and he immediately tried to kiss her, thankfully his son wasn't in the room at the time.

And it puts a whole new twist on playing for tips when half the audience is swooning over you, they really should make them tip more for that  ;D

Seasons is the first expansion I've really felt excited about, I was slightly disappointed when I read the default location for the Riverview plot as I usually add Ausette's All the Rave dance club to my game, plus it's an odd sized lot so not sure how it would fit elsewhere if I chose not to put it there.

It's OK you can change the festival lot location, it's just the default lot. I am going to change it to as I made a community lot out of it as well.

Just a reminder guys, this thread is for Seasons, Rica posted a link to a thread dedicated to discussing the patch.  :)

Does anyone think that there will be another blog or anymore new information about Seasons before it comes out?

Thank you Miss Estella.

There is going to be one more video chat coming next week that will include items for Seasons.  I'm not sure about blog entries though so you never know.

Did everyone see the photo they shared yesterday for Halloween?

My favorite gnome is the one being picked up with the flames on it's hat.  That's Mr Evil Gnome.

All of the gnomes will be available for purchase with festival tickets.  I think it's like 500 for each gnome.

I'm loving the diving board that came with the patch. Not such a big fan of ocean swimming though... my sim swam so far out she missed her carpool!

When you want to be something, the world can't define, open up your eyes.
