Oh no! Now it's going to be even harder to SuperMax Logic.  First it's meteors, now this. Sigh.

Just a thought, a child and teen sim can search the galaxy and collect rocks. If a teen get abducted he can't get pregnant.
I think Seasons have so many positive in it that it overrule the negative.

That's true, actually. I never had an alien abduction in Sims 2, they do come back, right? Silly question, I know.

Maybe not, it might be really rare for them to appear, a cool ability of the aliens is they can summon meteors, but you can target the location as far as I'm aware.
Edit: With this you could send a meteor to a park every so often and it might lower the chances of it hitting your garden or house.

That's true, actually. I never had an alien abduction in Sims 2, they do come back, right? Silly question, I know. 

Yes, they will come back. Females will be pregnant with a alien nooboo, but male sims will be like a host for the nooboo.
I don't think your sim will be abducted everytime he use a telescope, as least I hope not lol.

I think I heard on the live chat that the aliens leave clues that they've been there, and 'as they get more brave, they start to abduct sims'

Those weather effects look gorgeous. Of course, they'll kill my pitiful graphics setup if I'm not careful, but if I can experience a gorgeous New England autumn and winter, my sims should come close to that experience too.

The producer's walkthrough has actually made me want Seasons more but not enough to want it before Christmas. The only downsides I can see with the whole expansion pack are 1. Alien abductions causing pregnant sims 2. Snow days (would be really bad in dynasty challenges where hounor role is required, other that it is okay)

I really do like the gift giving and feast and the slow dancing.

Metro and Rica will probably look it all over and test everything extensively, and tell us what we can do to work around it/ work with it.

Yeah I'm already getting my list together of things that need to be addressed.   I'm planning ahead.  Just remember to not make any decisions until you've seen something from us.  The patch will either come the day before or the friday before and of course that brings some options but not all of them.


Also - Yes I'm extremely excited about this expansion pack now that I've seen the producer's walk-through. I wasn't sure at first but now I know I am.  The only other problems I can foresee for dynasty players is the fact that fish and plants both hibernate during the winter.   So it may come down to seasons and their length becomes all a part of the strategy.


You know they keep showing weather shots in a town that we don't have.  Any word on if it's going to be the new Tuscan store world or if they're just pulling our legs again?
