Have they listed which lots will have festivals on them in the various neighbourhoods? I thought we could choose?
Yeah they have. Ricalynn posted the quote a few posts ago.

We don't allow EA bashing on this Forum, so please be a bit more careful with what you say.

EA was never mentioned in my post. I just commented on the butcher jobs they've done on existing worlds with every ep. I wish they would just leave the existing worlds alone instead of just dropping new community lots down willy nilly with no regard to where they are placed. Most of the time after an ep, i've had to go in and correct all the lots they placed wrongly set, improperly placed, etc. There's plenty of unused space in the worlds that they could modify to take lots, but they don't even bother to put out the effort to do so.

Who else could "they" possibly be if not EA?  All I'm saying is to be careful because we don't allow bashing of the game's creators.  We all know that there are problems with the game, but bashing doesn't help.

Personlaly, I'm not really looking forwad to Seasons. (Too real, if I want snow I'll go outside in Decmber. :P) But I want aliens very badly... Good thing we can turn off Season. ;D

I hope we can turn off aliens otherwise they could mean trouble in a deca dynasty or an immortal dynasty or even a life state one before the requirements are completed.

If you look up some, Ricalynn posted a link and a quote that tells you where they're putting the festival lots, you're not allowed to choose, although it won't just automatically snap into place in whatever town, and you will have the original all saved in the sim bin automatically.

@Jestina - you could probably get a mod to stop auto lot placement. There is one at MTS that changes it to make it better, but doesn't remove it altogether. I saw it in the _XML somewhere I think, and did consider changing it myself at one point.

I try to avoid mods but may have to use them if they keep up this mess. Pets dumped an equestrian center on the best residential space in SV and now they are going to wipe out the park too.

Seriously, it says that you're going to have the option as to whether you want it to take over the location of the park, and even if you did say yes, they're saying that you're going to have the original in the community lots bin.

FYI ... another option is to download and play one of the very good 3rd party towns.

I routinely play on one, called Victoria Isle, that's about four times the size of a typical Sims town. It has ample empty large lots and easily contains all the expansion lots. This is such an expansive, interesting, diverse world that when I want to chill I just put one of my Sims on a horse and go for a long, leisurely ride. It has also worked nicely for me because I enjoy building and there's a heck of a lot of space to do so. I've found no bugs, glitches, or lag (other than first time play). This is probably not a good world for a new player because I imagine it would be easy to get lost, but for those wanting to leverage a range of EPs, I find it ideal. For the Seasons EP, I think this world will be absolutely stunning.

I've got a variety of Sims in this world that engage in virtually all the careers. This world was updated post-Showtime, but I play on it with Supernatural content as well.

Just a thought. I know this isn't the thread for discussing 3rd party worlds, but I thought it was worth a mention.

I agree. Even in leisure games, I'm sure you wouldn't want your sim to be abducted unless you want an alien child.

And an option to turn off zombies without having to freeze the moon phases would be nice too.

This is from Ricalynn: Sims who desire a close encounter of the fourth kind can engage in certain activities that will attract an alien’s attention. Studying the stars through a telescope or collecting space rocks that appear in the world will not go unnoticed as the aliens monitor Earthling activity.

Me: I would think it is like The Sims 2, where aliens only abduct people who are showing an interest in them.
We are of peace, always but this is war.
We are of peace, always.
We'll help build a resistance. We have to fight.

When all you've ever loved has been stolen from you, sometimes all you have left is revenge.
For the truly wronged, satisfaction can be found in one of two places,  absolute forgiveness or mortal vindication. This is not a story about forgiveness. When deception cuts this deep, someone has to pay.

Oh no! Now it's going to be even harder to SuperMax Logic.  :'( First it's meteors, now this. Sigh.
