I'm sure your right about the seasons settings, but not all supernaturals have longer lives.

Well, the vampires, werewolves, and fairies have slower aging, and that's most of them, so I'm betting Metro will ban them all from dynasty attempts.

Until we know the exacts, it's hard to say what Metro will say.  The game isn't officially released for three more days so until we can start a fairy or werewolf to see their exact age cycle there's no reason to speculate.

Also talk of Supernatural is off topic for the Seasons thread.   As for Seasons, we have time to get more information between now and then.  Metro won't make an official ruling until the patch/EP is released.

I hope we'll be able to use the seasons it the dynasties. I'm really looking forward to that and I think it'll give story telling a really nice extra dimension. Scoring a spouse using the kissing booth, who knows ;)

I a soo excited about Seasons! So much so that I forgot about Supernatural coming out. However I was surprised that they didn't put the aliens in Supernatural. But no complaints here.

I am so loving the new tans and the swimming. I didn't see if there was anything about making snowmen or having snowball fights. Though I can't wait to have indoor plants. Then I can go back to having families in Bridgeport. I abandoned that town because I wanted to use the apartments but couldn't garden except outside on the bottom floor.

EA sure has been busy this year. I hope that nothing crazy is coming. have they ever released more than two EP's out in the same year?  know they haven't had them come out so close together.

Either way I can't wait until November!

I was excited when I heard about blueprints, which I thought was going to be like having shells of houses that could be swapped around in the community but without the need for store-bought or EPs.  Digging further though,  it seems that is not the case.  From what I read on one of the interviews it's like block rooms (probably similar to Sims Social on facebook) so that might be interesting.  I'm architecturally challenged, so manipulating rooms like tetris blocks  is easier than coming up with a design of a house from scratch.

Yep! The Sims 3 has only been out since 2009, and now, three years later, we're up to our 7th EP, which makes about 2 a year.

We really need an awesome game for console.  They already made a seasons game for a different time of the sims.  How about one for console.

This is actually the first year where we'll have 3 out in a single year.  Showtime was this year, then Supernatural and next up is Seasons.  Even if I hadn't heard the rumor that we're close to the end, I'd believe we had entered the twilight years of Sims 3.    But at least they haven't given up on giving us some awesome things at the end.  They've let slip that diving boards are going to be available in the patch so you'll be able to use them with or without the expansion.

I never understood why diving boards never came with the base game to begin with.  But I suspect you are right.  With seasons coming, I can't really think of anything else as a core concept for an expansion.  The only thing left I would like to see is more travel destinations.  But if that means we are coming to the end soon..well...I guess that means I can start finding older SP and EP that I don't have yet at lower prices.

I know this is a little off-topic, but...

At the bottom of the launcher, there's a row with icons for each game. I wonder how full that will get? We will see, but I do wonder how close we are getting to the end of this era.

Yeah I'm pretty sure this is one of the last EPs. There have already been rumours about another one and I don't know, I do think there may be another one or maybe two if we're lucky, but we're definitely past the halfway point and I think EA just wants to rush along and get to Sims 4.

Only around two or three more EP's (including Seasons), I'd guess. TS1 had 7 EP's, and TS2 had 8.
