I knew about the glowing umbrella thing, but customizing them is so great! Will we be able to do it in Create a style? Hope so :D

There are so many things that I am excited about with this EP and I watch and read anything and everything about it, but the one thing I hope that this EP adds more than anything else is a coat rack, yep that is all then my hallways would be finally complete.

Kindest Regards
KJ

I'm really excited about Seasons!  I'm pretty new to the Sims--just started playing a few months ago with Pets, but the idea of seasons just seems wonderful.  For awhile I was torn between this and Supernatural, as I can't get both, but Seasons really seems better suited to what I want to do in my worlds and how I play.

I'm particularly excited about swimming (I was really puzzled when I first started playing to discover Sims couldn't swim!) but the rest of the seasons stuff--weather, festivals, etc, look really lovely, and make it worth it to me.

I have enough problems with all the Townies turning into vampires without werewolves, witches, zombies, etc. Sorry, I'm going a bit off-topic!
You can control the occult pop. In a patch coming with Supernatural, just like we get swimming in the sea even w/o Seasons, though we can't sing in the rain.

If sims can get tanned and sunburned in Seasons, I wonder if there is any option for sunscreen or if they just won't be able to live and paint outdoors any more?

I would think they wouldn't get burned just by going outside.

I think burning can only come with the suntanning interaction, or it seems to be implied that that's the case.

I don't think there is a suntanning interaction. From what I got out of the trailers, tanning comes from just being outside in the summer time. Otherwise it wouldn't be very realistic, would it?

I also say this because they showed one guy getting tan and then burnt by just using the nap interaction on a lounge chair outside.

Then there was also the blonde guy in the trailer that was red from sunburned by just being out on the beach.

So I think that by spending excessive time outside in the summer season makes your sim tan and then burned. But I think it's a very gradual thing, so sims don't get immediately burnt or tanned. So I guess shelter is going to be needed if you get this expansion pack, because you can't live outside in winter anyways, nevermind summer. That's going to pull a twist on the beginning of dynasties.

There is still always the firehouse! Plus if you could pick the seasons like you could in the Sims 2 you could just avoid both summer and winter and eliminate that issue altogether!

There's suntanning and spray tans. Suntanning is just getting tan because of the sun like the guy did. If Sims can get a tan just lying in a lounge chair, there is suntanning, that's what some people do to get a tan I thought. I like the spray tans for Sims because they won't get burnt lol. I'll sun tan with them to just not as much because I don't like sunburns in real life, so I don't want my Sims to have to deal with it to lol. ;D

True, and they have announced that the seasons have sliders for setting length. But I think Metro will put new rules on Dynasties to correlate with Seasons and Supenatural and I could bet on it that one of them will be that if you play with seasons, they have to be set on the default setting, which is seven days. Same with no supernaturals, as they have longer lives.

I kind of hope that Metro will allow for omitting certain seasons or climate-types. I'd forfeit a chance at the HoF just so I don't have to see snow in Twinbrook or Lucky Palms.

KJ there is a coatrack in the store content somewhere. I know because I have one, though I can't remember when I got it. I'll just see if it's in the simalogue.

It's the Big Cheese Coat Rack, for 25simpoints here

I'm sure your right about the seasons settings, but not all supernaturals have longer lives.
