I checked in some files and apparently I have 46.2 GB free out of 111 GB, will that be enough to run seasons?
If at first you don't succeed, call it version 1.0.

Hi guys, as you all may have heard, EA are going to release a Sims 3 Seasons expansion pack in November (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yB5nTGm0j3Q). However, whats puzzling me is that producer Mike Zamora has stated that
"What's unique about it is the fact that weather affects all of the other expansion packs and all of the worlds that you're already used to playing in.''
Does this mean that it will affect Gardening, Vacations, Pets and maybe even allow for new Professions?
Another thing on my mind is how long each season will last? I mean, for example, if it is winter for all of a Sim's childhood, will that not be unrealistic?

You know what's funny, is that we had rain boots for children since the basegame, and they're splashing in puddles in those same rain boots! :))

I'm not really a realistic player at all, but I'm super excited about the tanning beds, colds, and aliens. I had so much fun with the aliens in TS2, and I'm so glad they're back! I still am a little bummed they weren't included in the base game, but I know why they weren't.

Considering most Expansions are around 3.5GB large I'm pretty sure you'll have enough space on your Computer.  ;)

I don't know about Gardening, it did in Sims 2 but Gardening came with Seasons. They've said there will be no weather in Egypt, France or China. We'll also be able to control what seasons occur and for how long apparently.

I copy this from a simguru tweet on twitter!

@seira83 We are helping people organize CAS better! When Seasons is launched, every Sims 3 player will get the same product filter added to CAS that you've enjoyed in the build/buy catalog since Generations. It'll allow you to see only the clothes from Supernatural, Seasons, or any other product you select. It's really helpful for finding the content you want faster! RT @seira83 @SimGuruGraham with all the new clothes, we need better organization in CAS. Sort by long/short sleeves, or pants/shorts, sweaters/tshirts

That is great news.

That really is great news about CAS, I'm completely fed-up of having to scroll right down to the bottom for the Store clothes. I have all the EPs and SPs except Sweets Treats, and it takes forever to load.

April Showers Bring May Flowers in The Sims 3 Seasons!

Hi Everyone!

I'm excited to introduce to you today the first deep dive into one of the four seasons in The Sims 3 Seasons - SPRING!  As we were initially designing the themes for The Sims 3 Seasons Expansion Pack, spring became the season of rain, bright colors and of course, love!

Weather is one of the new additions to this expansion and a great way to distinguish one season from another. Those familiar with The Sims 3 have most likely become accustomed to sunny weather, but spring time not only brings blue skies, but, occasional drizzle, fog, heavy showers and even lighting. Although rain can soak your Sims, there are quite a few benefits to having a few wet days. Sims can splash in puddles for a little fun, it can help put out fires in your town or it can water your plants.  Also, no longer will inclement weather prevent your Sims from enjoying the outdoors. For the first time in The Sims franchise, we have umbrellas! With water-proof umbrellas in hand, Sims can walk, chat and even run outside without getting wet.

Not only can you change the color and patterns on the umbrella, you can even upgrade them to glow!

In additional to weather, colors also play a large part in seeing the changing seasons. Through the thick of winter snowstorms, spring is welcomed with a fresh burst of color. The trees will start to re-grow their leaves, and you'll see our new collectable wild flowers sprouting throughout the town. Sims can pick and gather these wildflowers to add an extra pop of color to their homes. Although be warned, they may be susceptible to seasonal allergies. Don't worry though, a quick trip to the hospital to get an allergy shot will clear your Sims' symptoms quickly.

To celebrate each season, a festival will arrive to your town! Each festival is unique to the season will transform completely with new objects and decorations throughout the year. Not only will festivals appear in Sunset Valley, but they’ll appear in other worlds too. You can be living it up in The Sims 3 Late Night ’s Bridgeport, or be enjoying the dry heat of The Sims 3 Store's Lucky Palms while participating in seasonal festivities.

But back to spring. With spring being the season of color, it was fitting to have an egg hunt held at the spring festival. Every day, new eggs are scattered throughout the grounds. Finding these colorful eggs can net your Sims some valuable festival tickets that can then be redeemed for prizes. You might even find some other surprises during your hunt as well!

In The Sims 3 Seasons we created a lot of new ways to meet other Sims. Sims can hold parties, send love letters by mail or even find a date online. Once you’ve found a potential match, the spring festival has plenty of activities for new lovebirds to enjoy. They can skate on the roller rink,

test their knowledge of one another on the lover tester machine, dance and compete for the title of Spring King and Queen or challenge each other to a round of horseshoes.

Or if your Sim is alone (or willing to sneak a peck), they can ask for a kiss at the kissing booth. Your Sim can also work a kissing booth too! If you see an open, unmanned booth, you can send your Sims to offer kisses of their own. With a little charm and appeal, your Sims may make a few Simoleons stealing a few smooches.

I hope you enjoyed this peek into The Sims 3 Seasons . Stay tuned for more information about the other seasons, additional weather effects and other exciting features.

I'm thorn between this EP, Supernatural or a pair of Doc Martens. I think this EP is winning by far.

The Spooky Day costumes for kids are an absolute hoot - there's a gnome costume, an alien costume, and a COWPLANT costume. I am looking forward to this even more than Pets. Well, maybe the same amount as pets.

Kinda disappointed with this, just because I hardly ever use an umbrella and see more people bundle up in big coats round here than use umbrellas. Would be nice to have an option for wearing a raincoat instead, or even alongside. :)

Well, it's a bummer to hear that it's not going to happen with Steam, but at least the game codes I bought through Steam work fine on Origin, so we Steam users aren't completely shut out.  I can easily live without the Sweet Treats or Disel stuff packs, but no way am I going to do without Supernatural and Seasons.

It's super good news that Seasons will apply to custom and store worlds.  And it sounds like the aliens will be a playable race, which is also awesome.  And maybe we can freeze the paparazzi to death!  And and and.... Ok, tons of great stuff here.
I'm Tealeaf, and I approve of this message.

Umbrellas are not only customizable but they are able to be put away.  I also noticed that there were raincoats because in today live broadcast - the little girl was in wellies and a raincoat splashing in puddles not even caring about an umbrella.
