This looks so good argh!!! Can anyone hazard a guess from the trailer as to what effect this will have on graphics requirements?

Looks pretty heavy, but I wouldn't know for sure. Usually they share that information pretty quickly. Hopefully there will be a little more information about that tomorrow or soon.

I can hazard a guess that this is going to be as graphic intensive as Pets, if not a little more so.

I am super excited for this, even though it means I am going to buy it before I can afford a new computer to play it on lol.

I love the fact they are going to include soccer I have been waiting for that forever. It also seems as though many are going to get their wish for being able to swim in the sea.

Right now my better half is rolling her eyes at the fact I am once again whining for a new PC.

A very excited KJ

In the Trailer there was a guy Ice Skating.. Looked suspiciously like a Frozen Pond to me!  8) Ice-Cream cart!

At the end here is what I got from the words that flashed: Seasons, Snow, Hail, Sun, Puddles, Stunts (?), Bobbing, Pumpkins, Tricks, Treats, Igloos (!!), Masks, Eggs, Snowballs, Scarves, Gloves, Skates, Hats, Goggles, Rafts (!), Dives (!), Tans, Burns, Costumes, Feasts, Gifts, Blossoms, Pies, Ringers, Goals, Water, Air, Rain, Life

This looks so good argh!!! Can anyone hazard a guess from the trailer as to what effect this will have on graphics requirements?

What the? On the Origin page, the system requirements are still the same as the base game. Old PCs won't run Seasons well.

That's unfortunate for me since I don't have the best computer. I really want this though!
If at first you don't succeed, call it version 1.0.

Join the fun with seasonal festivals: Sims can get in a snowball fight at the annual winter festival, get their faces painted at the summer festival, whoop it up at the spring dance, or bob for apples during the fall festival.

Experience the joy and challenge of changing weather: New weather effects and Sim reactions capture the power and beauty of nature! Sims can get a tan, be struck by lightning, or catch a cold!

Bring the outdoors inside: Your Sim can now learn the recipe for pumpkin pie or style their home with new furniture and décor. There are a host of new items to ring in each season. Get a tanning booth in time for summer, or ring in the holiday spirit with house lights and decorations.

Dress for the weather: Outfit your Sim in new styles for the season, including snow gear, raincoats and umbrellas, and new Halloween costumes!

Welcome mysterious visitors: New weather patterns aren't the only things appearing in the sky! Befriend an alien visitor and use their UFO to abduct a neighbor, invade a community lot, or travel to the stars.

I don't think I'll trust that tweet, I don't think I'll even trust EA because they'll obviously want to make it sound not so bad.. I *really* didn't want to have to lower my graphics, I've only just got to experience the game on a mix of medium and high. Fingers crossed! It'll probably be the case that some seasons are worse than others.

Apart from the graphics worry, I am soo excited..

And that Ice Lounge! I promised myself that I'd never preorder anything and pay full price because I firmly believe this is all so overpriced but I may just have to bite my lip and do it this time!

The only new Clothes and Hairstyles seem to be Costumes. I didn't see anything on the ordinary Sims, maybe a few possible thicker hats and jumpers but that seems about it.

I'm a bit worried for all you KPST owners out there. Well more so for your Paparazzi - those Cupcake Bras are not going to be good for the snow!  ;D

Hi there.  I don't post often but I've had such a BLAH day, found out about seasons and now I'm giggling like a junior high squealer.  I'm VERY excited about this expansion!!!   :D

The trailer is nice and all, but none of the links to the official announcement work.  We need an official link from Electronic Arts to keep this thread open.

The trailer I posted was from the actual official Sims YouTube page.

The US Price looks to be the standard $39.99 for Limited Edition.  So far this looks awesome and while I have a new PC, part of me is really glad that I'm getting new RAM up to 16GB here soon.

Would you mind checking your links again.  All I get is a "webpage not available" message.
