The Sims 3 Seasons: Announcement Thread
« on: August 02, 2012, 04:48:23 PM »
Yes, that's right! It's finally here. Coming this fall, the expansion includes weather effects, seasonal festivals, and new activities like snowboarding on a half-pipe and bobbing for apples. The end of the trailer seemed to imply alien abduction, in my opinion. Once the live broadcast is over, there should be a replay that I can link to.

I am going to compile all the screenshots I can really quick and see if I can get the trailer.  The EA Summer Showcase just announced the arrival of Seasons this fall with soccer, snowboarding, fireworks, holiday events, rain, snow and so much more.   Please remember that we as a forum like to keep a professional appearance so no frivolous posts to this announcement.

Thank you Thomas.

IGN Exclusive on Announcement Day

Stealing Thomas's pictures from the locked thread:

Yesterday a listing for The Sims 3: Seasons was found on the Official Website. SimsVIP has some screenshots. It hasn't been officially confirmed by EA but it's looking likely considering it was on the official website.  :)

The listings have since been removed though.

Edit: Lasnien I stole your topic and merged it with mine but you were first so your post is first.

I just saw the Dutch trailer, it looks amazing! I hope it'll still be able to work well on my computer.
If at first you don't succeed, call it version 1.0.

I think the end of the trailer implied aliens (the strange green light over the hotdog-dressed vandal) will be the occult of this EP.

ALIENS. FINALLY. :D

I immediately thought of aliens at that part too.

I am so very excited for this! I can't wait for building snowmen and igloos!!

I found a screenshot of the ice lounge that will be part of the limited edition.

I really like how much new things they put in. I thought the snowboarding on the half pipe was really cool. I'm hoping screenshots of that will show up soon.

I'm disappointed that it will be released November 13th. I mean that's only two months after Supernatural. Unless I get Supernatural for my Birthday then I won't be able to afford this one sensibly.

Be typical if it melts.  :P

Ah, but perhaps you could get it for x-mas.  That's what family is for, am I right?

They dislike my addiction to Sims. I have a sound argument though and the accountant in my Dad can't argue.  :P

It looks like a lot of Fair like booths. Which if you think about it means that the Store once again foretold the future. Did not the Swim, Surf and Beach Set go on sale (Swimming in the Sea) and then a Cirus Themed Set came out (Fair like thing!).

I'm going to start saving up money to get both! And yes it would be very typical if the ice furniture would melt. A house full of water puddles. I think in the showcase they said you can put it in any season and any town, so I suppose it doesn't melt. I dunno what happens if you put it outside of the lot. Well can't be sure about that yet ;)
I'm hoping that there will be some screenshots out tomorrow.
I really can't wait until November. I'll be looking forward to more information and previews!
