Man, y'all need to ease up on all of the acronyms for the expansion and stuff packs.  It's really not that much trouble to type out the name.  It's better for the Forum and it's certainly better for those who don't use those acronyms and don't know what they mean.  I just now had to think for a moment about what "SN" is.  I guess it's Seasons?  Things are just harder to understand when acronyms are used.  Nobody's in trouble for it.  It's just something I keep running into and thought I'd finally say something.  :)
Fez was probably referring to Supernatural as 'SN' (i.e the occults). Seasons, however, probably won't have any acronym since it's just one word (unless people start using something like TS3:S). One less expansion pack (Not EP!) for us to remember, eh?

Edit: Samoht managed to sneakily post before me.  >:(

There's already an option to turn off the notifications - but the memories in the scrapbook can really increase the size of your game files, for something most players aren't really interested in ("Went to the library"? I need a memory every time I go to the library? Plus one for just about every fish I ever caught?), which can be a problem for people playing long / multi-generation games.

Well, this was a pleasant surprise. I'm somewhat underwhelmed by Supernatural so far, so to know that Seasons will be released soon after is great. And the pictures so far look amazing! I do like how Supernatural is obviously the most surreal EP so far, while Seasons is taking huge leaps in making the game more realistic.

And from what I've read, we can customize each season's length? That's amazing. It's released in November, after all, so I'll probably want autumn and winter to last as long as possible.

Yeah I meant Supernatural. Acronyms like EP (expansion pack) and WA (World Adventures) are pretty universally known in the sims world so I thought it'd be fair to use it for Supernatural as well. :-[

SimGuru Graham put on twitter that we will be able to turn memories off when Seasons come out.
That is great news, I don't like memories at all.

Yeah, I'm defiantly looking forward to this as well. I know there are mods that get rid of that annoying problem, (I use them too), but things like this, in my opinion, should honestly be left up to EA. Why should people that like to stay mod free be left out of the cold?

EDIT: Since there's no new town, (I don't know if we need one in all honesty), maybe I'll experiment with the weather changes in Hidden Springs, Appaloosa Planes, Moonlight Falls and Twinbrook on this one, being that there will be holidays involved, and KPST (my favorite ;D) fits real easily with the them, for Christmas and Halloween.

EDIT 2: I think Riverview could fit appropriately as well! I think Sunset Valley, and Starlight Shores won't fit right, and don't have much to work with.

You could try and emulate the whole rainy and dry season cycle of California with Starlight Shores. I don't really plan on getting Showtime, but it would be cool to attempt. Sunset Valley is just weatherless to me. I think any place with pine forests and palm trees is. :P

I need some proper rain in Twinbrook now, and proper cold there too. Same for Bridgeport. I'm way too excited for darker weather like that.

Yes! I think I'm going to make Bridgeport constantly raining, Hidden Springs covered in snow, and a monsoonal climate for Twinbrook with lots of rain and heat.  :D

SN is Supernatural I think. I don't think there is one for Seasons because it can't really be made into anything but Seas and then you might as well just go onto to add the ons:)

Yeah, I meant to type Supernatural, but goofed and typed Seasons.  See how annoying these acronyms can be?

How about making Moonlight Falls constantly foggy or thunder-stormy?
At Sims University, we are scared by our mikes, 50% our students sleep in lectures, our students have fights over who gets to go through a door first, and students starve to death at a regular basis. Enroll NOW!

You can't make a town constantly foggy even with Seasons since fogginess and cloud coverage is set in the initial create-a-world process. T-storms are most common in Spring, according to the info so far, but chances are you'll also have a ton of flowers all over the place which would be quite strange for Moonlight Falls.

If the Season selector is anything like that of The Sims 2, I'd do:
Fall-Fall-Fall-Fall
Fall-Fall-Fall-Winter
Fall-Fall-Winter-Spring

Why? Hallows' Eve, of course!

Well, simce Moonlight Falls hasn't been released yet, we don't really know what the climate there will be like, right?  Maybe it will be nothing but fog and thunder storms and such.
I'm Tealeaf, and I approve of this message.

Well if EA don't make it tunable in the user interface, maybe someone will make a mod that does make it tunable. Then you can set whatever weather type you want at the start of a game, and keep it that way. I don't think it would be too hard given that there will be a LTR to set the weather. The current 'weather' settings in each world might undergo some serious changes with this expansion pack. I'd be interested to know how they are set though. It's very cool seeing the heat rise off the sand in Al Simhara. That at the moodlets they have for some of the tombs - I'm sure we'll see more of those (humid etc).

I watched their livestream rebroadcast yesterday, and it looks like weather and seasons will be completely tuneable unless I misunderstood.
