I was just remarking in another thread that I'd love to see a Seasons expansion and then I clicked a Sims 3 website and happened to see some info on the sidebar about this! I'm beyond excited. I sat here and squealed as I read about all of the features, haha.

Love that hot dog costume (also: costumes for all ages!). In one picture I saw, the hot dog is eating a hot dog, which made me giggle. And pumpkin carving!! I can't wait to try that out. Thunderstorms! Umbrellas! Oh, I can't wait to be able to plan outerwear again!! Little kids in slickers with golashes, splashing in puddles!

I think I read that there will not be a greenhouse on the Sims 3 Factsheet at Simsvip.

Actually a way to help with the greenhouses ( as I haven't heard or seen anything yet) is the fact that planters are being introduced in Supernatural to keep plants inside the house.

That's fine for small plants or just a few plants. But I do hope they bring back the greenhouse for those of us who love a large garden.

Well, not to sound too off topic, but does anyone remember the NPC Gardener from Mansion and Garden Stuff? Does anyone think there's a possibility that the NPC Gardener could make a return? It just seems so appropriate with this EP!

Also, one thing I'd like to see make a comeback with Seasons, is skating rinks. Those were really fun, with the cute interactions.

Jeana - if you look at some of the information that's been linked, you'll see that they have skating rings.  I'd also suggest looking at the live broadcast.

Well, that's great to know about the skating rinks!

I checked my files and apparently I have 46.2 GB available, will that be enough to run this EP without taking too much of a memory hit?

Alex, Rica posted SimsVIP, link saying the specs won't change. Keep in mind, however none of the requirements ever really went up. The system requirements are the bare minimum. That means, "This is what you need to play the base game only." and with every expansion pack, that means "This is what you need to play the base game+this specific expansion or stuff pack..." So putting in add-ons, (that means any other Expansions, Stuff Packs, game modifications, custom content), regardless where they're from, will require more disk space and RAM to handle the amount of add-ons you will be playing.

I'm still not overly exited about this EP. Not as much as Supernatural but then again this EP doesn't have Elf Ears..  ::) It just seems like we're paying for a technical function not new content. If you know what I mean?

The Gardener came with Base Game Sims 2.

This is definitely the only recent expansion I'm interested in, and it's released the day before my birthday! (Is it Nov 13th everywhere or just the US?)

Yays!  :D

All I can say is, "Finally. Finally. Finally, finally, finally. Finally."

After watching the live broadcast and reading some of the detailed write-ups, I hope I am not setting myself up for disappointment, because this looks like it will blow all the other expansion packs out of the water. "Seasons" is exactly the EP that the open Sims 3 world was built for; the fact that at least some seasonal changes weren't part of the base game was one of my biggest gripes about it.

I seriously want to skip right past Supernatural and just go straight to Seasons. I won't, of course, but I want to.

I am soooo looking forward to this expansion, it really has been a long time coming and it looks like there's going to be some cool additional features too (swimming in the sea etc). Has anyone else thought though how they're going to overcome difficult weather conditions at the start of a dynasty or legacy challenge?!! I don't want my sim to freeze to death or get soaked to the skin while asleep!!

Send them to the local fire station or other community building with inside beds or become very friendly with someone and then ask to stay the night at their house, perhaps?

Build a 3x3 room with a door and drop a sleeping bag in it.

Hopefully porches and patios can provide some protection against foul weather.

That'd be pretty fun, lugging a sleeping bag over to the Altos' porch, and just curling up to sleep right there. ;D

So very excited! I loved the different weather and the degree of realism it added to the Sims 2. Minus the PlantSims and penguins but since they were cute I didn't mind. :) I think I am most anticipating the return of aliens.
