This made me groan, allergies are the bane of my existence be just my luck my sim gets them too
Not too sure about the light saber look for the umbrellas but otherwise it all looks great so far.
I'm getting very peeved with Origin, I followed his link and it automatically redirects me to the front page of the French site as i'm in France, i'm English i'm just living here and don't know enough French yet to understand it, I could change it back to the US site but it goes to the front page and I can't seem to find the one he linked to. Oh well i'm sure specs will get posted elsewhere too.
Same goes for buying through Origin, there's no way I could buy a UK copy as it will only show me the French store, hopefully somewhere like GAME will have the preorder copy as they will deliver here.
The exact place linked was the Seasons page on Origin to pre-order. The bare minimum specs given are for base + Seasons though and doesn't include anything else. So that should help you navigate it.
The aliens look a little gray from the one picture I saw.
I probably won't be buying this EP.
1. Even though my computer is of great quality, I struggle with some of the larger/more higher detailed worlds. Snow coverage, rain, and other seasonal effects sound like they'll make my experience even worse.
2. I love having the perfect weather. It really makes the towns seem, you know, more Sim-like. It adds a certain aspect of character.
3. From my Sims 2 experience, Sims are walking-talking lightning conductors. On a 'rainy day', it will usually rain ALL day -- and if I need to go to work or get the mail, there's about a 25 percent chance that my Sim will get struck. About a 75 percent chance that a random object will get struck. It seems that there's a higher chance of getting struck towards the end of the storm, as I've had situations where something outside gets struck and moments later the rain stops, meaning my Sim has to put out the fires themself.
They said they tried to make the effects not as graphics heavy as I think we all feared so there is a good possibility that your system would be able to handle it with a small tweak to your settings.
As for the weather, I'm fairly certain we're going to have the ability to make it perpetual spring or summer if we so choose based on something I heard at the end of the live broadcast (I recommend watching it to everyone as both parts are now available).
In Sims 2, I thought that you didn't do a lot of walking around and the game was much more based on living at home. This is just what I seemed to get from my cousins who played anyway. Sims 3 is all about the open neighborhood so they're not going to make it like Sims 2 at all. I watched the demo which lasted for half a Sim day and I didn't see a single lightning strike. The demo also shows that there is a LTR which will most likely be buyable from buydebug that controls the weather. It starts raining? Whip that thing out and make it sunny again if that's what you want.
