No longer able to manually change uniforms?
« on: June 07, 2010, 11:06:51 AM »
Previously, if you changed into a uniform before work, it would keep that uniform.

Now is seems to always switch to default uniform just before you get into carpool.

The thing is I really hate the World Class Surgeon uniform.   You look more like a mad scientist.

Is there anything I can do about this?

Have you tried using the dresser?  It has a menu option to change into work clothes.

Really? I've never noticed that before. Whenever the carpool arrived for me, it changed to the uniform for that sims' job no matter what.

The dresser works, but you change into the default uniform just before you get into the car pool.

For example, I get up, eat breakfast , go to dresser and put on Neurosurgeon Uniform then sit down and watch tv.

The the carpool get here I walk out the door, then do the changomatic into the World Class Surgeon.

Before ambition if I changed into Neurosurgeon I would stay as Neurosurgeon.

Not a biggie obvioulsy, I just find the World Class Surgeon uniform a little silly to look at.

Hey - been lurking for a while but just registered... this forum seems much nicer than other sims forums I've seen - including official - and carl's guides are extremely handy....

Have you tried having your own car/bike/walk rather than using the car pool?

I'm curious as to whether the game code behaviour is to change to newest work outfit on 'going to work' or just that the car pool triggers it...
